Hi there, I am exporting my Rise course for LMS, and tracking in Moodle using 100% completion (as opposed to being tracked by a quiz). The issue I'm having is that Moodle is not being told when the course is 100% complete.
Thanks for reaching out about this. I see you also found another similar discussion -- have you tried the workaround Stuart suggested?
I'm going to bring this up with our Rise product team to get more clarification on why this is happening. As soon as I know more, I'll pass the information along to you!
We have had this issue. What we have found is that the player for 360 there was a javacript function calling for information from Moodle that didn't exist. Once I deleted the javascript function it worked. But it took our web developers to find it in the story.js file. The course would also not record progress through the course.
I have the same issue with tracking in Blackboard and have posted the following to other discussion threads but yet to have a response
Can you track a Rise course with the option 'track using course completion" 100% ie they have viewed all the blocks within the course. I have knowledge checks throughout the course, but these are for learning and are not graded.
In blackboard grading, do you select for grade score:
Scorm score OR Scorm completion
and then for grade timing:
1. When SCORM is completed, display score in Grade Center
OR
2. When SCO is completed, display score in Grade Center
Also, does it make a difference for Blackboard, if you publish the Rise course as Scorm 2004, 4th edition OR Scorm 1.2. I was always of the opinion that it should be Scorm 1.2
While I don’t have specific instructions for doing this in Blackboard, I can offer some insight on how to report completion and success status to most LMS’s when using Rise.
When you track a Rise course by a quiz result and export it as a SCORM or AICC package, you get to choose one of four reporting options:
Passed/Incomplete
Passed/Failed
Complete/Incomplete
Complete/Failed
Some LMSs only track a completion status, in which case you can choose any of the reporting options. However, some LMSs track a completion status and a success status. In that case, we recommend choosing either Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed when you export your Rise course.
For more information on how to do this click here.
In the meantime, you might want to share your question with the folks at Blackboard or with your LMS administrator to get more clarity on Blackboard’s specific requirements.
Please reach out with any more questions - I’m happy to help.
thanks Martika, I did speak to the eLearning support at our university and they warned us against using scorm - stating that scorm packages do not work reliably as a standard in any LMS and recommend to be published in Flash & HTML5 format. Personally I think they lack knowledge, skills and understanding of the fundamentals of scorm.
Hello! I also have a similar problem with my moodle not showing my RISE course completions. I was wondering, even though I set up the RISE scorm properly, am I supposed to also make sure those settings are exactly the same on Moodle? I apologize if this is more a moodle question...
Hi there, Jennifer. I recommend testing in SCORM Cloud to see if your course reports completion in that environment. If so, I'd explore the Moodle settings idea. Share your Moodle version (if you know it), and perhaps someone in the community can chime in with what works for them!
Hello! I am experiencing the same issue with the scorm upload in Moodle.
I have exported the Rise 360 course with Track using completion 100% and to passed/incomplete.
The course includes storyline interactions and learning check quiz's but I don't think this should impact should it?
Settings in our LMS to track completion are enabled as per previous Scorms uploaded and they record ok. This is the first time uploading a scorm in our LMS from Rise.
I couldn't see the option for passed/failed but have changed some settings in Moodle to reflect both passed and incomplete as well as 'Require all scos to return completion status’ and it worked!

Hi all,
I have good news! We have fixed this issue with Rise and courses can now be reported to track using course completion.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
BRILLIANT NEWS! :)

that's great news Martika, I published a course to our LMS last week, I assume I will need to republish that course
Hi Kate,
Glad to hear you’re just as excited about this update as we are!
Yes, you will need to re-export your course as an LMS package to take advantage of this new update.

We are in this exact same situation as well!
Hi there, Alice and Leslie. We'd be happy to help troubleshoot your content in our test version of Moodle. Connect with us here!
Update: We tried using passed/failed instead of passed/incomplete and it worked!
Thanks for the update, Leslie! Happy you're back up and running.
I couldn't see the option for passed/failed but have changed some settings in Moodle to reflect both passed and incomplete as well as 'Require all scos to return completion status’ and it worked!
Late to the party but Rise content only ticked on Moodle when 'all scos to return completion status' was ticked along with requrie view and Completed.
Thanks
