Hi Shailesh,
You could easily create this in Storyline 1. The only Storyline 2 feature I used in this demo is motion paths, which I used on the opening screen. Otherwise, all of this is possible in Storyline 1.
Thanks for the kind words Bola. It would take me a long time to explain how I did this in full detail. I would encourage you to download the file and reverse engineer it. Otherwise, I can quickly tell you that I used the Convert to Freeform feature to turn each slide into a drag and drop question.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Tim, this is great! It's visually appealing and really fun. I'm continually amazed at what can be done in Storyline when you combine sound visual and instructional design.
Tim, this really is AMAZING! What great inspiration you have given this community. I can't wait to implement something like this into upcoming training (eLearning or even in-class)!
What a fun way to engage. Nice use of drag and drop and another interactive template I will borrow.
Is there a double click option? This might speed the user experience - although I know I drink way too much coffee to be helpful here ;~))
Wow! I am impressed too! I love the visually appealing way the full picture comes out when you get the answer correct. As well as the partial picture as the clue. Will definitely use this idea in a course! Great job!
That a very nice implementation. I especially like how you created the countdown - very clever.
I'm struggling a bit with getting this to work in HTML5. Is that only me?
Looking good! I noticed your timer function is pretty layer heavy- have you had any success using the new Storyline 2 timeline trigger features and having the timeline as a variable?
Hi Lewis,
Thanks for the kind words. I've seen the variable way of creating the timer. It's not something I've tried yet, but I don't see why that wouldn't be a viable alternative.
Hi Tim!
This is awesome.
I downloaded it and had a look but... I don't understand how you did your countdown timer...? Is it complicated to explain it?
Interesting work Tim. I really liked the way you used Motion Paths and Drag and Drop features.
I downloaded the file but couldn't figure out how did you manage to add a timer on each question slide.
There are no variables created and no layers added. I would love to learn this.
Tim,
Thanks for sharing a great piece of work. The timer has really helped me with a current project. One thing and I hope I'm not too late but I can't work out how to stop the timer when the 'submit' button is pressed and the correct / incorrect layer appears. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Pauline
