Odd window popping up on custom fill-in the blank interaction

Mar 22, 2012

I have a .swf created by a vendor in which the student must complete a sentence by typing in the answers chosen from a bank of words below. There are three blanks to be filled. Two answers are two words long. When I hit the space bar between the two words, a dialog box opens that says: "To send a message, please click the link below." Of course this makes no sense and no link appears anywhere.

In addition to the appearance of this strange dialog box; the window changes to reveal the sentence with all answers filled in and completed.

I inserted the .swf as a flash movie and published for SCORM 1.2. Checked with the vendor and she does not experience any issue with on her end--says it works perfectly. If I open the .swf with Swiffer Player, I do not get the dialog box but it does go to the completed answers when I hit the space bar.

I loaded the published zip to cloud.scorm.com to test and experienced the same behavior.

Not sure where to go from here.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Melissa
