Quiz reporting and resetting score

Some of our courses are on a Moodle platform and the reporting is certificate based. Once they take the course, pass the embedded quizmaker quiz, they can view and print their certificate.

Our issue now that we have gone SCORM, is how do we reset courses based on a calendar year.

Some of our clients require taking courses each year. We used to have the quiz sit outside the course in moodle, so to update we would re-create the quiz and make a new "annual" certificate.

Any thoughts how we achieve this with SCORM? We need some way to reset the status so students can re-take the course.
