Please shear your thought and how this can be further enhanced. Enjoy!!!
Hey Phil, thanks for taking note of that, there was just too many details and logic, anyway I got lucky and guess I got it fix just by adjusting one of the trigger and adjusting it conditional value from 0 to 1. I have attached an updated version. Thanks again
i just want to thank you for posting this. i needed a timer that counted down from 30 seconds while the user completes a short activity, and i was able to adapt this to do just that.
i was even able to include a prompt if the user is running out of time.
This looks excellent. I have a few quizzes in one project, and they need different times. The results slide timer has a flaw, in that the timer from the third quiz imposes itself on the first quiz.
This is such a cool timer! Thanks for sharing. I was wondering if you knew a simple way to track how long a user takes to complete an essay question? I need to assign an essay question to several people and record how long it took each to answer. Any ideas on how to approach this?
Glad you found the example provided by Thomas helpful. This thread is a bit dated and I'm not sure he's still subscribed though. You are certainly welcome to reach out to the user directly via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile if you do not hear back soon.

nice, would be better to use two variables for seconds to make it look more realistic
doesnt seem to work because of the lack of two digits if i add in 1 hour and 01 minutes it starts counting down from 2 and reason
looks really nice, thanks for sharing

Hello Thomas..
One question..I dont really understand the point of the timer?
Do you mean the participant enter his own time to answer a quizz?
I wish i could use the exact timer you did beautifully design so the participant would see how long he/she took to answer a quiz,
then it would sum the time of the 4 different quizzes he/she completes.
This is to create a contest where the winner will be the one with "100% correct answers + the quickest answering time"...
I have read all the thread and can't find a solution ....
I know how to use the storyline elapsed time on the top bar of my result slide..but can't figure out how to
-design a better one
-and cumulate the time results of the 4 quizzes...
Any help welcome...
Merci
Thanks
Gracias

Thanks, I was looking for a timer to use in an emergency medical scenario. Tom had posted one a while back but think he said it was done in Flash.
Thank you - this is great!
Thanks for this tool Thomas. Very useful for a timed classroom think-pair-share activity.
Glad that this post is still assisting users. Thanks for sharing Erik!
Great timer! Slight mod and worked perfect for my needs in a timed activity as well. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Justin :)

A timer appeared in my storyline 360 course. I can find no where to remove it. Can you guide me?
