Not very familiar with offline prezis (or prezi in general)...
Do you download an offline prezi? If so, are you trying to point a web object to a downloaded prezi on your local machine or have you uploaded the offline prezi to a web server?
Web objects probably won't work well in presentations played on your local machine.
My recommendation would be to point the web object to your online prezi, publish your presentation and upload it to a web server, then see how the web object behaves. The only thing I can't see this working for would be CD-rom delivery...
Hi. Thanks for the reply. Aactually the online prezi works well with any html page but it's stored in prezi's website. I hv a personal presentation I hv uploaded to my website -created as offline prezi. This offline prezi contains flash exe and other xml codes. But there is no swf. Therefore I don't know how to embed my
'offline' prezi which is online in my website. Locally it runs well as a flash movie/ game.
When you download portable prezi, you unzip it and you will find Prezi.app/content/Prezi.exe. Delete Prezi.app & Prezi.exe. You are left with content folder. Open it and you will see many files including data folder. You can delete Prezi.exe again at this level. Paste in index.html and Prezi.swf here (downloaded from http://www.slidedynamic.com/support/forum/Just-Prezi-Integrations/799-how-to-embed-prezi-in-articulate-storyline). Rename this content folder to whatever you like and point to it from articulate storyline/insert a web object. It will then work in published storyline.
The problem arose due to different packaging of portable Prezi than the way it was presented in the above tutorial, although the tutorial was absolutely fine.
In order to remove any ambiguity from my last post:
The content folder that you renamed should have the following files and folders:
Adobe Air / content / data / icon / META-INF / index.html / loader-air-local.swf / mimetype / prezi.swf
To test it out, double click on index.html file and it will load up the prezi as a html page. Therefore, the webobject in storyline will definitely work.
I've tried both offline (but as it's a private Prezi there are appears to be access issues) so I have tried to embed the Offline one it works fine on my machine but when I publish and email over to another test machine the screen is blank. . .any ideas as to why this might be?
I'm unable to access the link that Slide Dynamic shared in the previous post, so you may want to send a PM.
In regards to testing it, you'll want to test any published output within the intended environment so as to not encounter local security restrictions. If you're publishing to web, but don't have a web server or don't want to load it up to your public site - there are a few few options mentioned in there.

Well but the thing is that offline prezi made with prezidesktop for instance don't publish html or swf files...
You may want to send a private message along to Zio, to see if he's able to send along the files to you directly as I'm not certain he's still subscribed to this thread.
As you mentioned this thread is older, so you may want to reach out to users in this thread utilizing the "contact me" feature on their profile to see if they can send you the files directly.

these steps are for Articulate Presenter, but would they help you with your Storyline question? http://www.slidedynamic.com/support/forum/Just-Prezi-Integrations/7-Embed-an-Offline-prezi-in-Articulate
Oh I thought if it works in presenter it will work with storyline. Am I wrong ? Remembered somewhere read as storyline web object is similar.
BTW will try wid presenter and get back.
Hi
The same slidedynamic tutorial for embedding prezi in storyline with storyline source files are available here:
http://www.slidedynamic.com/support/forum/Just-Prezi-Integrations/799-how-to-embed-prezi-in-articulate-storyline
but again they did not work for me.
Following same instructions tells me prezi cant be played and check internet connection -seems to be flash security issue.
Where as in .exe file there is no such security issues encountered.
Hope some one will have a look and help us!

Many many thanks. Will try and post back the results.
Hv a nice day
this didn't worked for me. I tried to integrate an offline portable prezi presentation.
i inserted in the content folder the 2 file provided (index.html and prezi.swf)
the author provided 2 versions, the second should include a newer player with also fulscreeen button.
but opening html files locally for me doesn't work, probably because their swf player in the meanwhile has been updated....

Hi Noreen and welcome to Heroes,

Just to update, as of now its works properly only when uploaded in a webserver and accessed.
Thanks Siva for coming back to update us!
No can do...
Couldn't get the slidedynamic files...
Why does it have to be so weird to integrate different tools...
I was going to buy prezi but not anymore... before prezi published html and swf file and it was perfect...
weird
Jose - you might want to look at videoscribe, as you can generate many "Prezi-like" effects, and it imports perfectly into Storyline as a .mov.
Thanks Bruce for sharing that recommendation with Jose!
Well but the thing is that offline prezi made with prezidesktop for instance don't publish html or swf files...
Please, can someone upload or send me the two files? The site slidedynamic.com seems to be dead. Thanks!
Hi Adi and welcome to Heroes!
You may want to send a private message along to Zio, to see if he's able to send along the files to you directly as I'm not certain he's still subscribed to this thread.
Website seems to be down, I know this is very old but can anyone post the files? I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.
Hi Christian,
As you mentioned this thread is older, so you may want to reach out to users in this thread utilizing the "contact me" feature on their profile to see if they can send you the files directly.
Hi. There is also an offline and free alternative software for Prezi on windows.
It is called Academic Presenter. You can find samples and features in here: http://danialesm.wix.com/academic
