HI Julie , if you are using default skin then you cant only have replay button, its comes all together. hope so soon storyline will provide an option for this.
Sinchu is correct, you won't be able to have the "Replay" button by itself, without the seekbar. However, if you haven't tried already, you could create a custom button with triggers that will replay the slide or media.
Hi Marjorie! The seekbar comes standard with the Replay button. There is not a way to remove it that I am aware of. I am not aware of any custom examples to share with you for this either, but perhaps some community members may have possible solutions.
If this is something that would be useful for you, you can submit that as a feature request.
By editing the frame.xml within your story_content folder you can control the appearance of the navigation bar elements. Search for control_layouts, edit one of the layouts that matches your slide configured options and change the enabled value of the seekbar, replay, pauseplay, etc..
This only works in the Flash based output and you'll need to make the change after each publish. Not ideal. But possible
THANK YOU!!! Modifying the XML filed worked - a little extra effort but worth it for the cleaner user experience. I was digging around in the XML last night but couldn't figure it out. Thanks again Steve!!!
If you don't want to use the built in seekbar and the rewind button, there is a thread here where some other users have discussed a way to set this up. You may also want to look into removing the seekbar(and therefore the replay button) and either creating your own custom player using the Storyline SDK or custom buttons/progress bars to help your users navigate the course.
Sorry if I'm late here but like said above you can create a button and make a trigger that will "jump to slide" and jump it to the same slide and should replay the video, a little bit hacky but thats how I found it best.
I just tested this using a SL2 story. If you open the frame.xml within the story_content folder and do a search for <control name="replay" enabled="false" /> and replace all with <control name="replay" enabled="true" />, it actually updated the html version too.
I was also able to successfully zip the published output myself (with the modified frame.xml file) and upload it to the LMS. The course launched with no issues and had the replay button as expected.
The pause/play button can also be turned on by doing the same thing, but replacing <control name="pauseplay" enabled="false" /> with <control name="pauseplay" enabled="true" />
I found a solution for this replay functionality. If you are using a custom replay button, add a trigger to it to go some blank slide in your course. Then on the blank slide add trigger to "Jump to previous slide" on time line start. Since previous slide in storyline goes to the last visited page.
If you're looking for some design or how to assistance, you may want to look at posting a sample of the .story file as you're currently working on so that the community can take a look and weigh in on the specifics for you.

Ah oui! Yes, thanks I forgot this possibility..
Merci Sinchu, merci Christine,

What about having the Seek bar without the Replay button?

Hi,
Is there any solution to create your own replay button in storyline.
Thanks
Manmohan
Hi Man and welcome to Heroes!

Thanks Liam for sharing that here - and welcome to the Heroes community!
WOOHOO, Steve!

So glad to be able to be able to do this now!
The pause/play button can also be turned on by doing the same thing, but replacing <control name="pauseplay" enabled="false" /> with <control name="pauseplay" enabled="true" />
Thanks Bobbi for sharing that information here with us!
Thanks for this great tips !
I hope Articulate Development Team will include these possibilities to customize the player into SL.
Thanks Eric for weighing in here, and if you haven't done so already please feel free to share your thoughts in a feature request as well.
Sure Ashley !
Feature request is my favorite link. :-)
Ha! Thanks Eric - mine too. ;-)
Well, to late to reply...
I found a solution for this replay functionality. If you are using a custom replay button, add a trigger to it to go some blank slide in your course. Then on the blank slide add trigger to "Jump to previous slide" on time line start. Since previous slide in storyline goes to the last visited page.
Hi Abhijeet,
Glad that workaround works for you - and thanks for sharing here.
