Is it possible to get SL to report question data and Module score to an LMS when completion is tied to number of slides viewed and not to a result slide?
yes, Storyline allows you to track 'using number of slides viewed' and report that toMoodle. I have used this for a Storyline course and it worked without problems. You can seelct a minimum number of slides viewed to complete in the Reporting and Tracking Options dialog.
Many thanks for your response Michael. What I meant was if it was possible to track user answers to questions while using the 'using number of slides viewed' setting? It seems that no question information is sent to the LMS when this is selected - or maybe I am missing something?
Thanks for confirming this Phil - this is a little disappointing. My client wants progress to be measured by slide count, but does want to see the responses in the LMS.
We have worked around the issue by setting the passing score on the results slide to 0 - and that seems to do the trick - but a bit messy if you ask me

You would need to report by results slide to get the interaction data into your LMS
