How do you save a vector image that you have created in PPT?
I have a map of Canada that is several pieces. I don't want to loose the pieces and don't want to save all the bits individually cause the "puzzle" is to hard to place back together. So how do I save the image but keep all the individual parts together.
Thanks, this was very helpful. I used these formats (emf and wmf) with one of the characters from Storyline and was able to change the colour of her shoes, pants and even re-position her hands. Cool...
It can save you as .emf or .wmf to retain your object's grouping. The opposite formats--png, jpg, etc--are typical final formats and can't be edited. you also download free vector from logo32
Just gropu the indicduall pieces (Drag your mouse around the perimeter of the image - all pieces should be selected), press Ctrl+G or right click, select, grouping, the group. Then save it to a manageable format like PNG. I hope it helps.

Zara,
If I'm understanding your desired outcome correctly...you can "group" the images and then right click on the group and do a save as picture.
Mike
But will they not be permanently grouped? When i insert the pic in another presentation I thought they would not ungroup.
Oh,
So you want to save the image, but in pieces so you can ungroup later? Similar to clip art?

(.emf is windows updated metafile so you should go with that one in most cases)
Zara,
David's cat like reflexes beat me to the punch!
Here's a post by Tom on the topic...

Awsome. Thanks David. And thanks Mike too.
I'm hoping this helpful answer gives me immunity in tomorrow's Photoshop Friday... it does, right?
Well...Since you asked so nicely I guess so. Next you'll be asking me to include you in my #FF's.
Now I have to rethink what to do for tomorrow's event.
That would be cool, too. But let's take it slow... baby steps slow.
I have some GerryShops queued up. Maybe we can bargain?

Just need to implement an image saving plugin with your PPT docuemnt manager, then you can save the image containd within PPT file into local file.
