I want to use a custom submit button for my questions. This works fine for the other question types but for the hotspot question, when you click the custom submit button it re-targets the hotspot location before evaluation, so you'll always be incorrect.
Is there a way of excluding parts of the screen from being targetable by hotspot or some other way of using a custom submit on this screen type?
You can do it,what you have to do it create the submit button in another layer and create a trigger in base layer to show the submit button layer when time line starts.its working fine for me.
You'd still need to use the method Sinchu shared - as the custom submit button is being recognized as another click on that slide, and therefore a change in the way the user is answering the question.
This helped me as well! I did have to make sure that my "Correct" and "Try Again" layers didn't have "Hide other slide layers" selected in the properties... I kept losing the layer my submit button was on if they got the question wrong and wanted to try again. Wanted to share that tip for anyone else allowing multiple attempts on their hotspot questions!

Hi Sjoerd,
You'd still need to use the method Sinchu shared - as the custom submit button is being recognized as another click on that slide, and therefore a change in the way the user is answering the question.
