You'll find there's no one right thing to do. As many in the above threads have suggested, my main purposes for scenes are organizational, and to break my file up into smaller chunks for easier previewing.
You both made me feel so welcome so I even added a personal picture.
The answers where good ones but I still have one remaining doubt concering scenes. When you look at the index part of the screen I find the lines above and below each scene confusing. Doesn´t that make users confused?
Can you please explain how I can put the scenes seamingless into the index part? Right now I am building extra scenes that I connect to the predominantely linear flow with buttons. Maybe this can be done easier and with good usability.
Is it possible to ad navigational elements in the top bar? I have seen other examples of how I can do it on the canvas, but it would be good to have it in the top. Something like this.
I am following one of your tutorials - How to Build a Simple E-Learning Game and am following the instructions religiously - several times over now.
I have added all the elements instructed into the Master View and others into the Feedback master. In the video the trainer clicks on a blank part of the page and selects new scene and his looks like a blank slide. In mine it is the same as the Master slide. Am I doing something wrong? I just need a blank slide to add in my "Elements" - buttons, markers etc

Hi Marianne,
Welcome to the community!
Here's a link to a thread where someone asked a very similar question
And another one about when to use scenes

Hi Marianne! Looks like Becky is taking care of you here, but I wanted to welcome you to E-Learning Heroes

Hi,
Now you got me going.

Hi Marianne.
To do that, go to Player > Menu.
Then delete the entry for the Scene Title BUT ....you must KEEP the "children".
Create a dummy course and have a play around to get a feel for how that works.

Hi Marianne,
What Bruce said! And if you're having trouble getting there, you could perhaps upload that dummy course here for further heads up from the community.
It's a great community you've become a part of!
Getting some great assistance here Marianne
Thank you!
Glad you were able to get the assistance that you needed here Marianne Thanks for the update.

Hi Suzannah!
I'm happy to help. By default, the main slide in your Slide Master will appear so I'd recommend applying a blank layout to the slide.
Here's a quick look:
