Design Question

Hello Community,
I am currently designing a course from a PowerPoint deck that has a one line footer of information.
There is debate that images should not go over the footer. In some cases, images will animate over the footer and during scenario base instances the footer will not show at all (which is okay). I am torn if I should remove the footer completely or if I should just adjust my images.
My question is, in designing is it really bad for an image to overlay a footer?
Thanks community!

Hi Neil!
Unless there's a strong reason to have it (like it's part of the navigation, etc.), I would not have a footer at the bottom of my course.
Just my opinion. ;)
Keepin' the joy,
Patti
Thanks Patti. Like the opinion.
It has nothing to do with the navigation and really just a copyright and a plug for the company. I just wasn't sure if there was some kind of design etiquette or if that is more a preference. I plan on removing the footer entirely.
Thanks for replying to my post.

NL

Hey Neil,
In my opinion, it would not look professional if images overlay footer or if footer shows at some places and doesn’t at others. Unless it’s obligatory to have such footer (like company policy), I would remove the footer completely. Otherwise, I would adjust the layout so footer shows properly on all slides.
Thank you Snehal. I appreciate the feedback.
Protocol in most companies I've worked with is as follows....
Hope this helps!
