Unfortunately, exported Rise courses can no longer be imported and edited in Rise. The course needs to be in your current list of active courses in your Rise account in order to open and edit them in Rise, and export them to LMS.
Thanks Stefan for sharing the information from your case with Gren as well - I wanted to make sure I was clear on your case with her for anyone else who may come across this forum discussion.
If you've exported a Rise course, that's the published output and can be hosted on your web server or LMS, but not converted back to a form in which you can edit it. If it was a course you created, the original course should still be in the list of courses accessible to you when you visit rise.articulate.com (unless you had chosen to delete it) and that's where you can make edits and re-export. If the export package came from another user, they should look within their course list for the original to make edits within. Once we release the Collaborators feature you and any other 360 Teams users would be able to share Rise courses to allow you both to edit the content.
Really in need of the Collaborators feature! When can we expect this. Handing my laptop to an editor so they can edit my course in my Rise account is not really an effective solution.
That's some real trust to hand over your laptop - I wouldn't want anyone to see the silly cat videos I watch as a break sometimes. ;-)
The Collaborators feature is still being worked on by our team, but we're expecting it to be released no later than the end of this quarter (so late March) and maybe sooner! Promise we'll keep you posted here in the Community.
