How can we embed a storyline game in Sharepoint.

Apr 24, 2024

Hi team,
I want to create a game which is accessible to all our employees, so we decided to to embed in a sharepoint. The game is made in Storyline and exported as web object. How can we add this in Sharepoint?

Can anyone share a detailed step by step process?

Hi there,

One way that might work for you is to take the Web files you have exported from Storyline and set them up on a cloud drive, such as Google Drive. If you put all the files in a bucket (like a folder) on Google Drive, and set the bucket's permissions to public, Google Drive will show you a public URL for your story.html file. Then, in SharePoint, you might simply be able to take a SharePoint site page, add some embed code with an iframe, and literally embed the Storyline website you exported into a SharePoint site by letting Google Drive host the Storyline website. I have even taken YouTube embed code for a video and put it on a site and then replaced the URL in the embed code with my own URL from Google Drive.

By having the web files from Storyline sit on Google Drive, you can embed your project into a webpage. When it launches, the Storyline project will run as if it were on an LMS (without the reporting capabilities, of course).

If you want to see examples of it in action, I have Web exports that sit on Google Drive and are embedded on my website: www.memorablelearning.com When you click on them, they should open and run as if you were on an LMS.

I know this isn't step-by-step, but maybe it's helpful to know the overall concept, if this is the direction you were talking about.
