Punch Up Your E-Learning Color Palette with These Vibrant Examples
They say never judge a book by its cover, but when it comes to e-learning, most folks just can’t help themselves. Most learners will jump to conclusions about the content of your course based solely on its visual design—and especially its color palette. That’s because color plays a huge role in how our brains perceive information. Not only does color catch people’s eyes, but it also clues them in to the mood and tone of your course. Color even helps learners navigate your course by giving them helpful visual cues (e.g., red for stop and green for go) for interacting with objects on the screen.
Although color has a huge impact on engagement and learning, many course developers are stuck with a narrowly defined palette, usually dictated by branding guidelines, But there are those occasional, fun projects where you’re able to cast aside your branding guidelines and do something different. That’s where the following examples can help you unleash your creativity and explore new ways of using color. Check ’em out!
