What a great list!
The Slide Layer Properties menu is a pretty good time saver once I discovered all of the options in it (Add a Layer, then click on the cog next to its title in the Slide Layers panel.). Also, the expandable/collapsible "Base Layer" menu on the Timeline of a Layer is very handy.

And I picked up the Base Layer expand/collapse timeline trick from watching one of David Anderson's demos years ago. It was a case of mind. blown. (It's the little things...)
