Here’s a favorite even experienced designers sometimes forget. When working with layers, most everyone remembers you can hide (all) objects on the base layer with one check box in layer properties. Want to hide something less than all of them? Don’t forget to scroll down the timeline, while on the layer, and the base layer elements are all there too. Click the hide eye button 👁 next to any base layer item to hide while on the layer. Just be sure to uncheck “Hide objects on base layer” in layer properties. Voila!
