Thank you for this walk-through. I have wanted to join for a year now, but I get intimidated by the outstanding contributions. I am looking for a way to grow my portfolio since I can't share my day-to-day work, so I will take it as a personal challenge to jump in this year.
Glad this helped, Shona! Portfolios don't need to be as exhaustive as they used to be. If you have 6-8 solid projects, that's more than enough for clients/companies to know what you can do. Let me know if you'd like help identifying some good "getting started" challenges.
