After you create the slide master, you create a layout with it before you apply it to a slide. That seems a bit redundant to me. Can you help me understand how it is not redundant?

If I know from the get-go I will be reusing a background or layout across multiple slides, I'll go directly to the Slide Master view and do it there right away. But in my experience what usually happens is I'm just building in regular Slide View when I realize that ... i actually need to re use this... so then ill move it to a slide master. But it is redundant and you can just go directly to the slide master!
