Love this roundup! Every one of these examples shows just how flexible storyline can be. i’m especially drawn to the “balloon boy” concept which is such a creative way to visualize progress and mistakes. Thinking about experimenting with something similar but using energy bars or shields instead of balloons to fit a sci-fi theme.

Thanks Jake. I think any item that can represent both progress and mistakes, such as balloons, can create a really efficient performance meter. For a sci-fi theme, maybe a jet pack? Each mistake reduces your altitude?
