We started using TTS about 6 weeks ago, but only as a temporary thing while getting Review feedback from our SMEs. They have complained about the robot voices, but we assured them that we will eventually replace the robots with our own recorded voices -- but only after we taken their feedback on the wording in the script and made those changes quickly and easily in the TTS. Since the digital voices can be difficult to understand sometimes, I've found it helps to show closed captions to clarify what the voice is trying to say. Next week we're going to start recording real human audio for some of the earlier modules that have been approved. I'll let you know how smoothly that process goes, but so far we have avoided quite a few re-recordings due to script changes recommended by our SMEs.
