- SachinTaank-9a6Community MemberAs always. very inspiring!! Love your ideas and always try to replicate and incorporate them in my designs :)
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroWell thank you, Sachin! :)
- gaillynch-5592bCommunity MemberGreat work. Can you provide more details on how you did this? Did you use layers for the video and then the corresponding triggers?
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroHi Gail!
Yes! You may have seen the answer I just gave to Sachin about the setup.
All triggers are on the base layer - none at all on the layers. (And you're right - each of the videos is on its own layer.) For each layer I set up two triggers that correspond with each stop on the slider. The two triggers are:
1.) "Show layer [layer name] when the slider moves if [slider name] is equal to [slider stop number].
2.) " Hide layer [layer name] when the slider moves if [slider name] is NOT equal to [slider stop number].
I hope that helps!
- SachinTaank-9a6Community MemberJackie I had a go at this yesterday and what I can't figure out is how you set the trigger for the base layer once the slider moves along and returns back to position 0. Any help would be greatly appreciated and happy to share my attempt at your fab work, which obviously won't be as good as yours :)
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroHi Sachin!
I'm sure your result will be wonderful too!
Here's what I did to set up the slider. All triggers are on the base layer - none at all on the layers. I set up two triggers that correspond with each stop on the slider:
1.) "Show layer [layer name] when the slider moves if [slider name] is equal to [slider stop number].
2.) " Hide layer [layer name] when the slider moves if [slider name] is NOT equal to [slider stop number].
Beyond that I triggered a number of state changes to change colors and locations on the map, depending on which slider stop is being visited - but those two triggers should help you on the slider itself.
Best of luck!
- ClintClarkson-cCommunity MemberThis is really slick. Nicely done, Jackie! Great inspiration.

- RobertLeierCommunity MemberNice idea. Entertaining.
- NicoleLiuCommunity MemberI would love to know how you made this.
- baileybowyerCommunity MemberOh this is BRILLIANT!!! You can do some really cool stuff with Sliders and they can also make you want to pull your hair out haha
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroTrue story, Bailey! The key is just getting through that hair-pulling stage to the brilliance. :-D
- ShurlaMcLeanCommunity MemberWow. This is so good!!!!
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroThanks, Shurla!
- ClaireHart-P606Community MemberGreat showcase for the videos. Especially loved the ice cream guy. Were these videos you took or found online?
- JackieVanNiceSuper HeroHi Claire!
Yes, Turkey is reknowned for their ever-entertaining ice cream vendors! These are little video clips I took on one of our trips to Turkey last year. I wrote a blog post about it here: http://www.jackievannice.com/?p=175071577
