Here is mine. A simple f-stop example using a slider and fading between states.

- Jonathan_Hill5 years agoSuper HeroIn a crowded depth of field, this one stands out :) Excellent use of a slider to manipulate the background image, but I'd expect nothing less from the Parallax Guy.
- JodiSansone5 years agoCommunity MemberGreat slider idea. I know this is subtle, but I really liked the shadow positions on the slider to give visual reinforcement of where the stops are. I don't think I've ever seen that done.
- DavidCharney15 years agoCommunity MemberThanks! Yeah without those it felt like huge jumps as you didn't know how many steps there were or where to drag.
- JodiSansone5 years agoCommunity MemberThese simple visual devices really make a difference. I'm working on a slider today that has 12 stops and I'm going to try your approach. I may have too many stops to make it work, but I like it!
- LindaLorenzetti5 years agoSuper HeroLove it, looks very professional, as does all of your work.

- alexjinca5 years agoCommunity MemberDavid this is cool! What catches my eye is that fade transition from one value to another, how was that created? An actually fade animation? Love how it makes the transition.
- DavidCharney15 years agoCommunity MemberThanks, Alex! Each image is in a state but I copied and pasted the images in place within each state so I could set a fade in and out animation on each. Then I just played around with it a bit. I thought it ended up feeling a little like a camera flash, so I went with it!
- alexjinca5 years agoCommunity MemberThanks for the insight in how you created that cool fade, David. I will definitely give it a try, many thanks!
