This one is great!
This is cool! Love your scenario and how it departs from knowing something to making a decision based on needs and risks.
It has some things in common with the premise for the sci-fi show Dark Matter from 2015 (excellent show, plot character development). Each character has special attributes that rarely can all be applied and leveraged all the same time. They have to make a choice.
