I’m excited about many of the new features, but I have to admit that I’m disappointed and frustrated with the new AI image generator.
I found the previous version much more intuitive and user-friendly. I could provide just a few words describing what I wanted, and it would generate multiple images for me to choose from. Now, I feel like I have to write a novel just to generate a single image, and even after providing detailed instructions, the results often don’t reflect what I’ve asked for.
One of my biggest frustrations is that elements from the placeholder image—especially that darn bike!—continue to appear in the generated image even when they have nothing to do with my prompt.
I appreciate the new capabilities being introduced, but from a usability perspective, the image-generation experience currently feels like a step backward. I would really like to see some of the simplicity and intuitiveness of the previous version brought back, particularly the ability to enter a simple prompt and quickly receive several different options to choose from.
