Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi everyone! I'm Alice and I am located in Baltimore, MD. My office however is located in Washington DC, though for now I am working from home. For how much longer, I'm not sure. I'm a Sr. Instructional Designer for the International Association of Fire Fighters, the professional fire fighter union for the US and Canada. I create courses to help keep fire fighters safe in their work. I've created courses on responses to hazardous materials, wildfires, terrorist attacks, as well as health, occupational safety, and behavioral health. I've created in-person and both online asynchronous and synchronous courses.
I joined this cohort to learn more. AI is not going away and either I learn to harness it or consider retiring earlier than I want to. I'd rather learn and make it work for me to help me continue providing training for our fire fighters. I am looking forward to learning all I can about the AI Assistant.
I have a dog, Dexter (beagle/cavalier king charles) and a cat, Archie (former street thug). They keep the my life interesting. It's hard to get a pic of them together.

Hi Christina, It's always nice to see another person from Baltimore and with this many people, I hoped I wasn't the only one. What part of Baltimore are you from? I'm in the Northeast. Your cats are adorable. I was up to 4 cats at one time, but I'm down to 1 dog and 1 cat. Just as chaotic.
