Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to get to know each of you over the next few weeks! 👋 I'm Alyssa, the Training Program Manager at Articulate. I've been so fortunate to be a part of the Articulate team for the past 10 years, and I love teaching our customers new and creative ways to use our tools.
I'm located in Bellingham, WA 🌲 but I'm a native Texan at heart. I share my home office with two cuties, Basil (airedale terrier) and Remi (wirehaired pointer). I'd love to see photos of your pets, as well!
I'm excited to dive in to the AI Assistant with you next week!

Hey Alyssa- I'm nearby in Tacoma and I grew up with Airedales. They're pretty uncommon on the West Coast!
I work for the Power Company and design training on everything from bloodborne pathogens to high voltage substation entry training to orientation at our fish hatchery.
With the AI Cohort I'm hoping to improve the cohesiveness of my trainings. I really like the ability to find a photo in the stock library and then be able to alter it to have a sequence of photos with a related topic. I'm hoping for more gems like that.
I don't have any photos of my dog on my computer, so here are some fish at the hatchery.

This is going to sound silly and obscure, but back in the 90's when Nickelodeon had a print magazine, I remember their mascot was an Airedale and I always think about that dog whenever someone mentions them.
It's fond memories because they would do quirky things like trying to find her in each issue or she was dressed up in a cool outfit related to the theme.
I think you will find a lot of value in the AI image prompting part of the training. It will help you get shape the images you want in the style that you want. I found that once I find a image prompt style I like, I saved it elsewhere to use for future projects.

I loved the Nickelodeon magazine! 90s were truly the golden age of kids magazines.

Hi everyone! 👋 My name is Marisol, and I'm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I work as an Instructional Designer, currently leading e-learning design and pedagogical advising at a university, where my day-to-day involves building courses for distance and coaching facilitators on instructional best practices.
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort because I want to move from an academic L&D setting into corporate L&D, and generative AI is the layer I want to master to make that jump credible — not as a side skill, but as something I can build entire training solutions around.
Bonus: I don't have a pet of my own, but I'm the reliable aunt/dog-sitter every time my sister goes on vacation, so please meet my temporary roommate Jana! 🐾

Hi Marisol!
I think you'll find what you're looking for in this training. There are a lot of great tips on creating successful prompts for your course design and then customizing it from there.
Having this certification under your belt should be a great selling point for when you make that leap. The AI Assistant will help if you shift into a faster-pace environment. It can do the heavy lifting by creating the foundation (reduces hours to minutes), but then you go in afterward to clean it up so it still has that human element.

Hi everyone- I'm Corey, and am based in Minneapolis, MN. I'm an instructional designer for the American Academy of Neurology, where my portfolio primarily focuses on managing and designing content around neurology practice and advocacy.
I'm excited to get more comfortable using AI in creating and designing my content. I recently starting using a generative AI chatbot to write HTML to build interactive tools/activities for my Rise courses, and am excited and curious to see what's already in-house with the Articulate suite.
We have two dogs (Max, on the left and sleepy, and Charlie, on the right and ever-anxious) and a cat (Banjo-not pictured) at home.

Aloha! I’m Claire, a Senior Consultant in Instructional Design with Kaiser Permanente in Southern California, based in Pasadena. I design learning solutions for physicians and spend much of my time exploring how education, technology, and innovation can improve learning experiences at scale.
I’m excited to join this AI Cohort to learn new ways to work smarter, enhance my workflow, and connect with others who are exploring the practical applications of AI in instructional design.

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley and I'm located in the suburbs of Chicago. I'm an eLearning Designer for the Data, Insights, & AI department of Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. I was formerly a teacher for Chicago Public Schools, and I was fortunately able to transition a few years ago into a position to a position/organization that holds the same values.
I develop most of the eLearning courses/programs that my team makes to help build data literacy across the organization, and we have expanded into AI literacy as well over the past year. My department is SUPER into the use of AI, so when I saw this cohort being offered, it just made sense to sign-up! My overall goal for my courses lately has been to make them more engaging and visually appealing, especially since most of my work is done in Rise, so I'm hoping that the AI Assistant can help jump start that.
I have assistants at my home office: my cat, Winnie (about 12), and my dog, Cece (around 4). We did one of those dog DNA tests and apparently Cece is about 1/3 Plott Hound, 1/3 Bully mix, and 1/3 of everything else. We had never heard of a Plott Hound before so I'm curious if anyone else has! 😆

Hi Alyssa! I'm Jackie and I'm far away in sunny Bristol, England. I work as a freelance HR system consultant but have spent quite a bit of time lately redesigning e-learning content for a couple of clients. I'm a bit of crafter so am loving the ability to be creative. I'm hoping being part of this cohort will enable me to be even more creative :)
My dog Juno recently passed at the ripe old age of 14.5. She was so beautiful I have pictures of her everywhere, so would love to include here her!
