Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi, I'm Molly Williams! I live in sunny San Diego, California! It will be 10 years this November that I've worked at where I've worked Illumina, a DNA sequencing and biotech company in a few different L&D roles, the current being Senior Staff Technical Training Specialist. My work supports San Diego manufacturing and operations, with a real passion for leadership development, training trainers, and—more and more these days—AI adoption and literacy.
On any given day, you'll find me designing and delivering leadership development and train the trainer programs, designing instructional materials for both live and virtual training sessions, coaching and mentoring colleagues, and helping my team explore how AI tools (like building agents in Copilot Studio) can make our work smarter and our learners' lives easier. I love blending structure with creativity—and a little humor never hurts.
What I'm hoping to get out of the Articulate AI Assistant Cohort: My goal is to walk away confident using these tools to streamline content creation, elevate the quality and interactivity of our training, and upskill my instructional design AI capabilities.
And this is our dog Benny! He's a 13 year young lhasa apso poodle.
Hey MollyWilliams-3! Some of my family works in genetics, it's such a cool field with so many moving parts. Do you have a favorite subject for your train-the-trainer type material?
Also I completely agree with adding a bit of humor to liven up the structure of a training, something that reminds learners the human in me sees the human in them 😂
