Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi everyone,
My name is Fabienne and I live in Zurich, Switzerland. I have worked as an instructional designer and educator at MeteoSwiss, our national meteorological office, for the past six years. My role involves educating and training all our meteorological staff, which includes planning, developing, delivering and tracking training activities.
In addition, I am an instructional designer for EUMETCAL, a European programme that aims to maximise collaboration between meteorological offices across Europe. In this role, I mainly develop training materials, organise hackathons, train trainers, and act as the main point of contact for all training-related matters.
I use Storyline and Rise on a daily basis, and I am also quite experienced with AI integration. However, I would still like to develop my AI skills further and hope to learn some nice tricks and hacks from you.
I don't have a pet (only the occasional unwelcome spider or wasp😉) but I have plenty of bikes and skis that keep me busy.😄
Hi Fabienne, your role sounds SO cool (and so busy!) How many offices are involved in EUMETCAL?
I hope you find some tips that help you over the course of the cohort. What tools you find most helpful in your AI integration right now?

Hi Mary
Yes it is really cool and diverse :) hm depends on how you define "involved". We have about 30 members, but maybe 10 countries / meteorological offices who contribute actively and take place in our activities.
I am using the AI images a lot and also the text-to-speech integration. What I did not use a lot yet is the AI chat function in Storyline, but that's definitely something that I want to use more in the future. I like that it can directly generate javascript code that you can then adjust :)
