Week 2 - Group 1 Discussion
Hi All, well! I spent far longer on this than I'd intended. Full on rabbit hole mode this morning. Anyway here's my attempt.
3 Changes:
AI Editor - i used it to save time (bold/bold colours), tone/language changes etc... but also to experiment. e.g. I used it to convert a paragraph into a 2 way conversation.
Custom AI images - not used this feature before and am now a convert. Now I know I can use it to align images to the brand colouring which is fab and helps with consistency. Also creating infographics - very handy!
AI audio narration added throughout - This is something we started doing in my team last year. It's good for accessibility and allows learners to choose how they learn.
AI Feature: There's a few. the ones above but also creating multiple images with the stock characters is going to be really useful! i played around with this too.
Challenges: As ever with AI getting it to make things sound natural. It was particularly hard with the 2 way conversation. I tried loads of different prompts but it still wasn't right. I achieved what I wanted which is a proof of concept scenario block but its not perfect. AI gave me a good starting point, but it might just be something that needs the human touch.
Great work on this one! I totally understand the rabbit hole and had to fight to get myself out, but getting inundated with meetings for the rest of the week forced my hand.
I love that you were able to get images of the same two people for the custom scenario - is that a custom block? I haven't seen anything like that before! How did you get the multiple images of the same two people? I know how to do that in Storyline, but didn't see anything on how to do it in Rise.
One thought is that I might have chosen a different header font, largely for accessibility. I had a hard time reading it in places and my ADHD couldn't stop staring at it sometimes. I also really liked the use of audio in only specific spots. It's a question that's come up in our development with my opinion being that you have to use it judiciously and intentionally rather than on every block.

Hi, thanks for taking a look.
The images were done using the AI assistant in SL, exported and then uploaded to a custom block in rise.
I get the font. It's a brand one, we've been battling with the readability of it but Articulate have just released the update where you can change fonts within the blocks which will make it easier to manage.
We've had positive feedback from learners about the audio narration. People who use screen readers in particular love it because it saves the so much time.
