Changes made:
1. Used the engaging hook prompt to the first intro paragraph to add excitement
2. Added some instructional text to introduce interactives for smoother transitions
3. Added background images to the last text block in each lesson then used AI to edit the image to align with the course topic. This was done to add visual interest.
The most valuable feature is the ability to change text into an interactive experience. This makes courses much more engaging. We have solely been using Storyline and are very excited to begin using Rise!
The most frustrating challenge was the AI prompt of syncing text to audio not working. This has been an issue the last couple of weeks. The AI response is that it doesn't have that capability and that I need to add cue points for it to sync to.
Nice job MarlaCole-9c6f0. I like how you overlaid the text on images sometimes. You have also done a great job with the captions when they were an option. I did notice in the image of the two women talking that your alt tag wound up on the screen. Watch that they stay in the background for the screen reader. Your sighted learners already know what the picture is.
One thing I noticed was how easy it was to scroll through the lesson without being forced to stop. Managers are notorious for cutting corners in courses like this and zipping through things without reading. Forcing them to interact helps them absorb the content better. Yes, you have accordions and flip cards. But nothing is making them do them. Leverage the continue bars and set them to require learners to interact from time to time and to force them to read things. Put things like your pull quotes on screens of their own, after a break, and with a break after them, to force them to slow down and pay attention.
When you say you had trouble with it syncing audio and text, what were you trying to get it to do? That's a feature that helps animate bullets properly on the Storyline side. I'm not sure it's available in Rise.
