(2) Created a roll-over image instead of an accordion to present 4 pillars. (3) Created a job aid regarding mental health. This way manager can download and reference post completion. Most valuable AI feature or capability: Just the initial work done by AI saves tremendous amount of hours to create a new course. However, some sections/topics are not as aligned with the original documents/writing. In my practice, when text must be very carefully worded and sometimes meaning can be lost if you change sentences, this is a huge deal — I need to have screen by screen alignment session to make sure important thoughts and explanations did not get omitted or rewrote. Most of the time they get changed! Challenges: AI is a bit like a cranky teenager with a mind of their own… it rewrites a lot of original text. In my experience, some SME's are very particular how they want to word certain items. Generating images. That is definitely a consistent struggle. Sometimes the text is written on a person’s face, sometimes the image does not produce what you think the prompt is stating, other times, results are great. Original name was “Fostering team happiness and fulfillment for new managers”. Change it to “New Manager’s Guide to Happy and Fulfilled Teams”. I think it is more appealing to the audience. But, the AI generated “Building Happy and Fulfilled Teams: A Guide for New Managers” when the course got produced. I settled on “The Manager’s Guide to Building Teams That Thrive”. Learning objectives. Three lessons and AI generated 3 different style learning objectives – one had Blooms taxonomy based, full sentence outcomes, the other had more of a topic based outline (all words from capital letters), and the 3rd lesson had something in between – statements with lower case letters. Quiz. AI created multiple correct style answers for the question with one correct answer. Squares instead of circles.

The AI-created draft of my course included the following photo: Note that all the women are barefoot. All the men are wearing shoes. Needless to say, I didn't use the photo. To be honest, I have many misgivings about AI in general. I believe this technology should be used vary carefully and that humans should remain very much in control.

This ensured that the design was consistent throughout the entire eLearning. I replaced long texts with bulleted lists and bold keywords using the given prompts to improve readability and reduce cognitive load. I created a final quiz with AI support—it took me only a few minutes!—to help learners ensure they understood the key concepts. Most Valuable AI Feature There are many features that I find very valuable: The automatic course structure and content generation is amazing for reducing the effort required to create a first draft. However, it is very important to use this feature once you have gone through the documents and have a clear understanding of the topic, so that you can refine the learning outcomes and lesson structure before clicking Create. Creating questions from the source files is one of the best features of the AI assistant. It saves so much time, and you can refine the generated questions and feedback messages to fit your goals. Challenges I Faced I find writing prompts for AI images and styles very difficult, but the existing option to select text in the course and “Create an AI image prompt” helps a lot with this. I would say that finding the best prompt to avoid too much iteration is the biggest challenge. Final Thoughts Overall, I see AI as a partner that speeds up the development process, but human expertise remains essential for creating truly effective learning experiences. I enjoyed this training very much, and I have taken away many ideas and best practices from it.

This was neat because doing so made the content more relate-able in the context of a game simulation. 2) I used custom audio in storyline to make coin collecting sounds to add to flash cards. 3) I used edit with AI to add feedback to quiz questions about why an was correct/incorrect.

Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you? I really loved the creation of AI images. It was so neat that changing the prompt slightly gave an entirely different vibes. For example, instead of just saying a video game image, if I specified like Zelda, like Stardew Valley, Sims, or Moonlight Peaks, it actually tried to mimic the artistic feel, which I could never do independently in a million years. lol.

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? For me, the Custom Block Lab tools weren't fully functional and that was unfortunate. I wanted to try and Avatar video, but it kept erroring out, so I went with an audio/ai podcast option instead.

Share 3 changes you made. I experimented with using a different style of imagery than what the course builder created. I used the custom blocks and added GenAI audio for a "testimonial." I also used the block converter to visualize the same content different ways (adding each below to compare and then choosing the one I liked best.

Which AI feature or capability was most valuable. I really liked that it was able to generate the knowledge check questions for me as well as custom feedback for each choice.

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? Sometimes the images missed the mark. This was more a product of my prompting. The more context and setting the scene in the prompt, the better results I got.
