- Share 3 changes you made: The default AI generated course had a lot of the same order of interactive activities, I think this can be boring to the learner so I changed up the activities using the instant convert feature. I also added custom AI imagery to all of the statements because it acts as a visual divider and also gives the learner something to look at to connect the dots of the statements. I also added AI audio where I felt it added an additional level of interactivity. Sometimes when courses are too much text, your brain defaults to wanting to skim the content - by giving a break in text, and letting the learner listen to audio they might be able to re-start their brains and absorb more of the content they previously skimmed past.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable: I think the instant convert is the most valuable to me. Before taking this course I was unaware of this feature and had been taking a lot of time to manually create things when I didn't like the formatting. This is a great tool!
- What challenges: I think by default I am not always the most descript in what I want, and so I often start off small and have to see what it produces so I know how to tweak it. The more I work with it, however, I think the better I will get at producing descript requests in the first try.

Share 3 changes you made:
- Changed the color of bolded text for more emphasis and aesthetics.
- Used AI image generation to create photos related to the adjacent text. This makes the course more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.
- Added AI summary of the course at the end to recap what was covered in the lesson, promoting learner retention.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable:
I find the AI rewrite feature most valuable to change the tone of and/or make shorter my original text. Because my prior career was a scientist, I tend to write in a scientifically verbose way, which often isn't engaging for the learner. I appreciate that I can use AI to re-write my text using a more casual tone in an engaging, concise way for the learner.
What challenges did you face: Sometimes AI image generation can be a challenge, and I don't always get the results I envision the first time. With follow-up prompting, I am usually able to refine the image until AI produces an option I want to use.

Hi Tracy,
I liked the color scheme you chose for the course! I appreciate the effort you put into making the course aesthetically pleasing and in reducing text.
You added an AI summary block. I did too. I felt like it was missing something and this felt like a great moment to effectively use this AI feature.
You mention the challenge with the AI image generator. I had the same issue. What I'll do next time is to test other style in the image generator to avoid the obviously looking AI pictures.
Great job! :) - kahooper8 days agoCommunity Member
I really love the look of your course! I also really appreciate that you put in the continue divider buttons within some of the lessons to break up the content. Each of the lessons followed a very similar layout and I think this helps the learner get into a routine. It looks like we struggled with the same thing (getting the AI assistant to do exactly what we were asking) but it is clear you prevailed because all of your interactive pieces look great!

The soothing green is nice! Good job. I love the summary feature - a great tool to break writer's block!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to disclose that I played around with the AI features only in lesson 1.
1. Changes I Made & Why
- I used Instant Convert to change the “Fulfillment is Personal” section from a carousel into a flashcard grid. I noticed that the AI had written a descriptive explanation for each fulfillment category. To make the content more practical, I used the Write with AI feature to turn those descriptions into concrete examples. Not an AI feature, but I added audio to another flashcard grid that reads an example question out loud for each flashcard. Adding a voice made the examples more relatable and helped create a more human learning experience.
- Although I set the AI course generator to include AI-generated images automatically, I still replaced some visuals manually. In some cases, the original image did not clearly represent the topic; in others, a different image worked better in another section.
- To wrap up the lesson, I added an AI generated summary block. And for the final touch, I converted the closing paragraph with text into bullets and adjusted the section to smoothly introduce the next one.
2. Most valuable AI feature or capability
My favorite feature was using Edit with AI on a highlighted paragraph. Like many features in Rise, it is very user-friendly and intuitive, and the range of editing options is really helpful. I can see myself using it often for small refinements and adjustments throughout a course. It could also be a helpful source of inspiration when I’m experiencing a creative block.
3. Challenges
I faced many frustrating challenges with the AI Image Generator.
Each time I used Edit with AI to create a prompt for Generate AI Image, I read it meticulously and adjusted the details I didn’t like and I still failed to get the result I had in mind most of the time.
I chose to stick with the cinematic style and the results were always obviously AI, which is something that really discourages me when I’m going through a learning experience. Sometimes there were way too many characters in the frame with unrealistic and exaggerated facial expressions. In the future, I will test the feature with other styles.

I had the same thought on image generation, sometimes it was just easier to select manually. Great work!

I had the same experience with the AI Image Generator. The course is very pretty and clean!

I made all the changes required. However, I was unable to make a change I wanted. I wanted the AI to replace bullets with hearts, and it would not. It added the hearts but also kept the bullets. Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix that? I made several different prompts to no avail. Look for the section on Supporting Mental Health. It is under a new section I added titled "Why Mental Health Matters at Work."
- TamaraCraft-62f7 days agoPeer Guide
Hi! I have not experimented with the bullets, but now its on my list to give it try! Did you try this: With the hearts in place, highlight the text and click the bullet button to remove them. I'm thinking it should leave the hearts and just take away the bullets...let me know if it works!
- kathykikkert6 days agoCommunity Member
Oh wow, I thought I did try that and it didn't work. But I just did it again and it did work. Fun!

Started the introduction section with a hook/story. WHY? To make the content more engaging from the start of the course. It also feels like the learner can relate better to the content.
Used AI instant converter to change some paragraphs into interactive sections with one click. WHY? I did this not only to make it more interactive, but since learning about the instant convert feature it saves a lot of time to get something more interactive within your course instead of creating it from scratch.
Added in AI generated images. WHY? It allows the text and interactive blocks within the course to be broken up. It was also a time saver to not have to search for images outside of the articulate page.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable? Did anything about it surprise you?
I found the course outline creation and lesson creations to be most valuable. This is a huge time saver and instead of having to start from scratch, I can input some information that needs to belong in the course and just need to go back review and refine. I am excited for how this will increase my turn around time for creating quality made training modules. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the content was put together and how little review really needs to be made to ensure content is correct. Once the outline is created, it is mostly aesthetic changes that need to be made.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I personally struggled at first with being descriptive enough for the AI assistant to know exactly what I am looking for. Whether it was AI image, quiz instructions, or modifying other existing content. When I first started this process, I was not super descriptive in what I needed from the AI assistant to do. Through trial and error, I learned how much detail I needed to give in each of the different scenarios to get the result I was looking for.

Your course edits look really nice! I still struggle with prompt writing. It takes me a few tries to get something I'm happy with. Now, to remember to save the prompt before moving to the next thing so I have later! :-)

Love the idea of starting with a hook/story! Thats a great recommendation from the coursework that definitely adds to the course.

Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
- I added an AI picture of two people building a Lego set to the Building You Team’s Foundation section in lesson 1. I thought it was a good image idea for that, and my son loves Legos.
- I created a dialogue at the beginning of lesson 2. I felt this would create a little interactivity (not just having to sit there and read) and help those who are audio learners.
- For the lesson 2 objectives, I used the tips and tricks to bold the action verb in each to make them stand out.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- I personally liked the quiz maker because of the time it can save. If you have a lot of content and need to create a test at the end, that can be a lifesaver.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- I found that it can’t do everything you want. For example, I wanted to create flashcards with text and a ghosted picture behind the text. No matter what I did, that wasn’t happening. So, you just need to know the limitations of the system so you don’t waste time trying to create something that can’t be done.
- TamaraCraft-62f7 days agoPeer Guide
I love the Legos and the dialog interaction - very creative. The Quiz Maker is one of my favorite features. That's a sure fire antidote to my inner critic when it comes to quiz building!

OK, I posted this already this morning, but I didn't see it when I came back in. So, we'll try it again...

Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
- I created an AI image of two people building a Lego set to illustrate the Building Your Team’s Foundation section. I thought the image was really good, especially for AI creation, and my son loves Lego so I had to.
- I created a custom block in lesson 2 with an audio dialogue. I wanted to have something different to keep the eLearning engaging.
- I used the tips and tricks idea of bolding the action verb in the objectives for lesson 2 to make them stand out.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
- The quiz maker, because I can see that saving so much time (especially on those longer courses).
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- One was learning what it can and cannot do. I was trying to get the flash cards to not only have text, but a ghosted picture behind the text on each card. Took me a while to figure out no matter what I told the AI, it wasn’t going to make it.

- Share 3 changes you made: Added AI audio, image, and changed tone of text.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable: Rewrite with the built-in options for Tone, Audience, etc was helpful
- What challenges: While the AI in Rise is more robust, I develop in Storyline for my audience. I would love to see the AI tools there expand and improve.
- TamaraCraft-62f7 days agoPeer Guide
I also spend most of my time in Storyline, so the AI features in Rise help me a lot when I have to switch. Very clean, nice looking course!

- Share 3 changes you made: I made custom images using a custom style so there were more consistent images that were more like the people I work with. I changed some of the plane text to lists, and customer blocks to make it more interesting and engaging. I updated the colors to add separations and be consistent with my organization’s style.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable: Using the built-in prompts for editing and formatting text. It was so easy and quick to make meaningful changes like tone.
- What challenges: Remembering to be very specific with my prompting, specifically when generating images.
- ErinKuester5 days agoCommunity Member
Hi Vicki! I really like the Would You Rather block you added in lesson 1. I think that's a fun way to add some storytelling scenarios that are engaging for learners and make them think about the content they just learned!

1. 3 changes I made: I primarily followed the guidance of the assignment in this case (although I agree with the feedback from others on the cadence of default AI generated courses!). I added images to a process interactive, split text into multiple paragraphs using text formatting, and added takeaways and a summary.
2. Most valuable AI feature: I was using some of these features already, but the generate AI image prompt has been more interesting, since the prompting in general I think was contributing to my dissatisfaction with the AI generated images in the first place. I also love the ease of use of the VO.
3. Challenges: I think its the process for me -- there are ways to use the AI to get more aligned to what I want the learner to experience, but in the process this way, it doesnt feel as much backwards design as building up. I appreciate the learning, but a lot of this doesnt always align to my overall vision for learner experiences.
