Week 2 - Group 2 Discussion
Hey Group 2! 🤩 I had a lot of fun participating in these activities and I've learned a lot, thank you for this opportunity! Here's my course: https://share.articulate.com/b4Ta_5zBmJbOzE-ctYAVM
1. I made many changes to the course, but here are 3 of my AI favorites:
- I used AI to bold key terms in theme color in course description, in each lesson's intro text, and the Quiz's Title Screen. The visual emphasis helps learners spot important concepts more easily and reinforces terminology throughout the course. It also serves as a visual cue that the learner is at the "start" of a new topic/lesson.
- I used AI to apply the "hook" strategy covered in the "Tips & Tricks: How to Get the Most Value Out of AI Assistant" Rise course to the course description and Lesson 1's intro text. By creating curiosity and highlighting the value of the content at the beginning of the learning experience, learners are more likely to stay engaged and motivated to continue.
- Quiz and Knowledge Check feedback was updated using AI to provide helpful explanations instead of relying on “correct” or “incorrect” labels, which was covered in the course mentioned above. This approach turns each question into a learning opportunity, helping learners better understand the content and stay engaged.
2. It's hard to pick just one! The Instant Convert feature has been the most valuable because it lets me quickly explore different ways to present content without constantly copying and pasting.
I was also surprised by how well the AI Assistant generates knowledge checks. I'd never tried that feature before, but the quality of the questions impressed me, and it's something I'll definitely use in future courses.
3. One challenge I encountered was applying theme colors to bolded key terms. When I used AI to format the text, it didn't apply my custom theme color and instead used the last default theme color I'd selected, so I had to update the color manually.
I also found that after a quiz was generated, AI Assistant couldn't update all the feedback options at once. Instead of editing each feedback message individually, I regenerated the quiz and included my feedback requirements in the initial prompt, which was a more efficient approach.

I tend to go back to the overall settings of the course and check the fonts and colors right before I post it. :) As I have noticed the same thing. This looks great! Nice job
