Hi everyone. Just wanted to disclose that I played around with the AI features only in lesson 1.
1. Changes I Made & Why
- I used Instant Convert to change the “Fulfillment is Personal” section from a carousel into a flashcard grid. I noticed that the AI had written a descriptive explanation for each fulfillment category. To make the content more practical, I used the Write with AI feature to turn those descriptions into concrete examples. Not an AI feature, but I added audio to another flashcard grid that reads an example question out loud for each flashcard. Adding a voice made the examples more relatable and helped create a more human learning experience.
- Although I set the AI course generator to include AI-generated images automatically, I still replaced some visuals manually. In some cases, the original image did not clearly represent the topic; in others, a different image worked better in another section.
- To wrap up the lesson, I added an AI generated summary block. And for the final touch, I converted the closing paragraph with text into bullets and adjusted the section to smoothly introduce the next one.
2. Most valuable AI feature or capability
My favorite feature was using Edit with AI on a highlighted paragraph. Like many features in Rise, it is very user-friendly and intuitive, and the range of editing options is really helpful. I can see myself using it often for small refinements and adjustments throughout a course. It could also be a helpful source of inspiration when I’m experiencing a creative block.
3. Challenges
I faced many frustrating challenges with the AI Image Generator.
Each time I used Edit with AI to create a prompt for Generate AI Image, I read it meticulously and adjusted the details I didn’t like and I still failed to get the result I had in mind most of the time.
I chose to stick with the cinematic style and the results were always obviously AI, which is something that really discourages me when I’m going through a learning experience. Sometimes there were way too many characters in the frame with unrealistic and exaggerated facial expressions. In the future, I will test the feature with other styles.
I had the same thought on image generation, sometimes it was just easier to select manually. Great work!
