Hi Everyone! See my link for Building Happy and Fulfilled Teams: Strategies for New Managers.
- 3 Changes Made:
- Introduction: I reworked the introduction paragraph in the training to make it more engaging and motivating for learners.
- I also modified it so list the learning objectives and bold the keywords.
- I'm not a fan of reading paragraphs in training myself, so I like to modify these when I can so it doesn't feel like such a burden during learning.
- AI Audio: In the first lesson, I added AI audio to welcome the learner to the topic of Team Happiness.
- I thought it was nice to take the paragraph introduction and turn it into something interactive for the learner.
- I also changed the language to make it straightforward and shorter.
- Accordion Photos: I added AI-generated photos to the accordion under "What Drives Happiness at Work."
- I feel that accordions can fall flat if it's just text, so adding the photos helps to visualize what the message is saying as well.
- Introduction: I reworked the introduction paragraph in the training to make it more engaging and motivating for learners.
- Most Valuable AI Feature: Part of the main selling point to add the Articulate AI features to our company group was the instant convert option.
- Time Saver: This saves so much time if you're working on something and decide it's not the way you'd like it.
- Instant convert can be done in less than 30 seconds compared to having to manually copy and paste or retype learning into a different format.
- Overall: This is a game-changer for my own workflow because I find myself using the same interaction multiple times, but I can easily convert to different options to figure out which is right for the content and learner at the specific time.
- Time Saver: This saves so much time if you're working on something and decide it's not the way you'd like it.
- Challenges:
- Text Colors: I tried to use the feature where you tell AI to bold certain words and then turn them into a specific color, but I didn't have the color code on hand.
- So I just tried using "light blue" and it didn't work.
- I also tried saying "Make the bold headings the color of the theme" and it wasn't able to do that either.
- I learned that you have to be specific then for which color you want it to be.
- Storyline: When I was doing the exercises from last week, Storyline would not let me sync the audio on the slide.
- The video showed audio tied to the slide already, and you ask AI to sync them, but there wasn't an audio to sync.
- I then made an audio file using the content on the slides, and then tried to sync them, but then it said I couldn't. Not sure what happened there.
- Text Colors: I tried to use the feature where you tell AI to bold certain words and then turn them into a specific color, but I didn't have the color code on hand.

Hello! Here is a copy of my course.
- 3 Changes I made include:
- Prompted to open the course with a hook strategy.
- Used a custom image prompt to create a symbolic image of team trust.
- Added a knowledge check, and prompted to customize feedback in a meaningful way for the learners.
- The most valuable AI features to me were generating quiz questions/answers, and generating AI audio. I ended the course with a "testimonial from a leader", and generated an AI image and audio to bring the testimonial to life! I can see this being a huge timesaver for me and engaging for the learners.
- I did not run into too many challenges with the features I've tried yet, but it has reinforced my learning that the quality of your prompt is indicative of the quality of your outputs. I appreciate the opportunity to practice these features and learn from others in the cohort!

Here is my course!
Changes I made:
- Lots of chunking of content and converting text to interactive elements
- Adding and changing the photos to be aligned and increase engagement
- Insert AI generated knowledge checks throughout
The most valuable AI capability for me is the use of rewriting functions. Shortening, chunking, creating bulleted lists, and changing the tone are all very helpful in my workflow.
The biggest challenge I faced was with image styles; working to get what I want out of the AI image generator. I may have gone down a rabbit hole of image and photography style prompts.
Great course and learning experience. Thanks!- ShimellHPeer Guide

Nice job! I really like your color choices and the images you used throughout the course. I especially liked the art style of the images you selected for the Flip Card activity in Lesson 3, Personalized Growth Planning and Leading by Example. They added a nice visual element to the activity.I also liked the beta Custom Block you used to highlight a tip for creating a successful onboarding experience. Great use of the available features to enhance the content!

Wow, really great work! I love your use of the different image styles and shapes/sizes and overall course aesthetic. I also like how you incorporated scenarios into the course without the use of the "scenario" interaction. Your course included a wide variety of interaction styles and knowledge checks to keep the learner engaged. Adding the summary at the end was a nice touch before the quiz.

Hello everyone! Here is my AI Generated course with the changes I made.
https://share.articulate.com/6Rr1qiUi5W6xqHOHZ_7Sg
1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes?
I made three key changes to improve learner engagement and create a more polished learning experience:
- Added AI-generated images using the Rise 360 AI Assistant. I incorporated relevant visuals throughout the course to make the content more engaging and visually appealing. The images help break up text-heavy sections and provide learners with visual context that supports understanding and retention.
- Used Instant Convert to change and reorganize blocks. I adjusted the block types and layout to improve the overall flow of the course. This created a more logical progression of content, reduced cognitive overload, and made it easier for learners to navigate through the material.
- Added AI-generated audio at the end of the course. I included an audio wrap-up to reinforce key takeaways and provide a strong conclusion. The audio offers an alternative way for learners to consume information and helps create a more interactive and memorable learning experience.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
The most valuable AI feature in my workflow was the Rise 360 AI Assistant's image generation capability. It allowed me to quickly create relevant visuals without spending time searching for stock images or creating graphics from scratch. This helped me maintain momentum during course development and improved the overall visual quality of the course.
What surprised me most was how quickly the AI generated usable images that aligned with the content. While some images required refinement or regeneration, the speed and quality of the results exceeded my expectations and significantly reduced development time.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
One challenge was ensuring that the AI-generated content matched my specific vision and instructional goals. Sometimes the generated images were not exactly what I had in mind, which required multiple prompts or revisions to achieve the desired result.
Another challenge was balancing efficiency with quality. Although AI accelerated development, I still needed to carefully review all generated content to ensure it was accurate, appropriate, and aligned with the learning objectives. The experience reinforced the importance of providing clear prompts and using professional judgment to refine AI-generated outputs.

Hi group,
Quick Link: Melissaβs Week 2 Hands on Challenge
1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes?
- Added headings and subheadings using the theme colors to better organize the content. This helped break up the information, improve readability, and make it easier for learners to navigate the course.
- Converted a lengthy section of text into a scenario and added an audio option. Since the content was somewhat lengthy, I wanted to provide a more engaging way to present it while also giving auditory learners, or learners who prefer not to read a large amount of text, another option for consuming the content.
- Added relatable images to the process steps. The images helped make the steps more visually engaging and provided learners with a visual connection to the information instead of presenting the process as text alone.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
The entire Edit with AI feature was probably the most valuable for me. I love that I can easily take existing paragraphs and turn them into interactive activities or scenarios, shorten lengthy content, or change how the information is presented. It really is a game changer because it saves so much development time while still allowing me to customize the final result.
I also found the AI Summary and Quiz features extremely valuable. The summary is a great time-saver and adds a nice finishing touch to the course. The quiz feature was especially helpful because manually developing quiz questions and answer choices can be very time-consuming. I was surprised by how quickly AI could generate these elements and give me a solid starting point that I could then review and refine.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
The biggest challenge was at the beginning when I uploaded the source content and asked AI to generate the course. It created a very lengthy course, so the most challenging part was going through the content section by section and determining what to keep, shorten, reorganize, or convert into a different type of interaction.
While AI saved a lot of time in the development process, I still needed to apply instructional design principles and make decisions about how the content should be organized and presented to create the best experience for the learner.

This is a really comprehensive course. I really like the scattered quizzes throughout to amplify learning and engagement. The final quiz at the end really drives home lessons learned. The look of the course is also appealing and easy to work through. Great job!

I loved the course it was very clean and well thought out! I especially liked the AI Audio throughout the step process and the scenario. Well done :)
- ShimellHPeer Guide
I really like the design of this course. Itβs very easy on the eyes, with a clean look and consistent design throughout.
The images in the course were minimal and strategically placed, so they added visual interest without taking away from the content. I also liked how you used color and different blocks to enhance the content and keep the overall design balanced. Great job!
- CarrieWatsonCommunity Member
Unfortunately, I had some trouble with my week 2 course. I would have to click on things 3-4 times to get it to "stick". Also, my storyline AI audio options were all grayed out, so could not do the last two lessons. Not sure if it was a network error or not.
Regardless, I really love the convert block option. Very quickly can change the look and feel with just a few minor tweeks. Very efficient. Also loved the feedback options on quizzes to further educate the learner!

CarrieWatsonβ , I am going to tag AlyssaGomezβ to see if there is anything Articulate can do to help you out. I know getting that certificate is really important!
Here's what I think might be going on, but it's why I want to make sure I tag in Alyssa who is the expert.
The AI Assistant isn't able to do as much in Storyline 360 as it can in Rise 360. The assistant is more robust in Rise (organizing, creating, etc.) than it is in Storyline. Additionally, if you don't have the paid version of Storyline 360, you won't have as much access to the AI Voice library.
If I misunderstood, please reply back and I know Alyssa and team will help get you where you need to be. π

Hi everyone!
You can view my project here:
https://share.articulate.com/wTIXihEcxby_2NqR8bgBJ
I had a lot of fun with this challenge and ended up taking the course in a completely different direction. After generating the initial draft with AI, I reworked the introduction and first lesson using a Star Wars theme, writing everything from the perspective of Darth Vader managing the Stormtroopers and Imperial Army. It was surprisingly effective and gave the course a fun, consistent narrative that I think helps keep learners engaged.
Three changes I made to improve engagement:
- Created a themed learning experience. I rewrote the content so learners experience the course through the lens of Darth Vader leading the Empire. This gave the course a stronger story and made the content more memorable.
- Converted content blocks into different activity types. I used AI to transform several sections into different interaction styles to create more variety throughout the lesson and avoid a repetitive learning experience.
- Added custom visuals, audio, and design elements. I generated AI images throughout the course using a custom comic-book art style to create a consistent visual identity. I also developed a custom colour palette with an Imperial-inspired look and used AI to create a themed lesson summary and voiceover.
The AI feature that provided the most value was image generation. I used the "Generate AI Image Prompt" feature extensively and even created a custom image style to maintain consistency across the course:
"Vintage newsprint comic book illustration, thick black ink linework, flat colors, halftone dots, limited shading, coarse printing texture, simplified hand-drawn figures, exaggerated comic book proportions, bold outlines, pulp science fiction artwork, old comic book page style, retro comic aesthetic, clearly illustrated not photographed."
The ability to generate visuals that all matched the same theme really elevated the overall experience. You can see a significant difference between the edited first lesson and the remaining lessons that I haven't updated yet.
Overall, I encountered very few challenges. Most of my time was spent fine-tuning prompts to get exactly the look or tone I wanted. Even then, AI was successful on the first attempt about 95% of the time, which was honestly better than I expected.
Looking forward to checking out everyone else's projects! πβ¨

Hi Adam,
I love the Star Wars theme you added to your Rise course! The visuals on the flashcards you created were really unique and kept my engagement. I agree that audio narration is an impactful tool! Would have loved to see some more Darth Vader audio throughout! Great work, and thanks for sharing.

AdamScurrahβ . This had to be the most entertaining course I've scrolled through. Oh. My. Goodness. You fully committed through the entire course and that is impressive. Most impressive.
Good job with the AI Voice. I know it wasn't easy, but I got it. It looks like you had a lot of fun and as a fellow Star Wars fan, I approve.
AlyssaGomezβ & MaryEmma_Garyβ . I'm tagging both of you because you have to check out this course.

okay, this is not okay. This is amazing! I'm so mad at myself for sticking with the work mindset. You've got me wanting to play with this over the weekend now.
You've nailed the theme with the color, font, and image styles. Bra-vo. How long did it take you to nail the style?
I wonder if I can do a Dungeon Crawler Carl Survival Course (for Management)...

Hello Everyone! Please use the following link to access my Rise course:
https://share.articulate.com/XSo4Ui5RS5d8xB1BDwG1v#/
Changes:
- Custom Images
- I added images to more so depict the concepts, instead of simply writing about them. Looking to leverage images > words more.
- Chunking
- I tried to create breathing room for learners to be able to digest/reflect on smaller bites. Ideally reducing cognitive load.
- Look and Feel
- I added some branding to the course and created my custom image prompt to also reflect that. I was hoping for more visual cohesion throughout the course.
Most Valuable Feature:
I would say that the AI image prompt generator from the content/text was extremely helpful. Most of the time, I've had text heavy courses generated by AI and have spend a great deal of time generating images that would fit. This reduced that time significantly.
Challenge:
When using the combination of the custom images and the AI image prompt generator, I had to make sure that the prompt for the images didn't contain instruction that would override the custom image instruction.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
RubySorto1β , I really liked how you kept your color scheme throughout your entire course. Picking up not just from the theme but also in the images. I think that's really cool that the AI Assistant helps provide a quick shortcut to that level of detail (instead of searching for images manually for the right one).
It does seem that the consensus is the image generation is great, but it can go off the rails sometimes after a few iterations. I think it's like that with any LLM at this point. π
You clearly put a lot of detail-oriented effort into creating your course, which I know was probably helpful in really seeing what the AI Assistant could do. Thank you so much for sharing!

I really enjoyed reviewing this course. The content was organized in a way that made it easy to follow, and the use of chunking helped keep the material engaging and manageable. The strong branding created the cohesive experience you were looking for and gave me several ideas I can incorporate into future projects. You did a wonderful job! π
- ShimellHPeer Guide
The visuals in this course grabbed me right away! Would your name happen to have been one of the influences behind your color choices, in addition to the company branding? π Because the color palette was spot on! The subtle hints of red throughout the images were a perfect touch.
The overall design choices really helped emphasize the key points of the content in each section. Everything felt intentional and cohesive. And the images on the quiz questions were the cherry on top! π
The only thing I would add to the quiz is feedback that provides the correct answer when a learner answers a question incorrectly. Great job!

Happy Thursday all!
My AI Rise course, Leading Happy, Purposeful Teams: A Guide for New Managers, was a joy to create!
I made quite a few tweaks to the course lessons, but the ones I consistently made were:
- Adding AI images to the flashcard interactives I converted from text.
- Changing text to audio scenarios using AI. This was a great way to add multimedia quickly. Plus a bonus that I don't have to listen to my own voice or edit background noises out.
- I asked AI to make some text shorter in parts and change the tone to be friendly, yet professional!
Piggybacking off of one of my points above, I found the most valuable part of working with the AI Assistant to be generating audio. It's time consuming and inconsistent to write scripts, record audio, etc. on my own as a team of one. Using the AI assistant and just tweaking it to fit uniquely with my organization was hugely beneficial.
The most challenging aspect of working with AI, is definitely trying to tweak it to be accurate within my organizational context. I feel like I need to iterate a bunch and then the AI assistant starts losing the initial request.
Overall, I'll use the AI Assistant when I need to speed up production or finetune, but I'll probably draft my own content first to reduce the time iterating and ensure accuracy within my organization.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
jacquelynwall14β , I like the AI images you used for the flashcards and that you kept them consistent through your course.
I totally understand what you mean about the challenging aspect with the multiple iterations. It's one of the reasons why once I find something that works, I save the prompt, or the prompt logic, off to the side for next time. Sometimes that works, sometimes I still have to iterate and start fresh.
Thank you for sharing your course!

I made sure to tackle everything that is listed on the week 2 Activites. Please take a look and let me know if I missed anything.
Also I try to submit the share link to get the badge, but the link isn't working. How should I submit it?
But anyway, here are my answers to the questions.
1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
I used Convert and added AI Audio along with generated images just to make it good and engaging. AI Audio seems fun, and I've only used it a few times for the Mental Health Section.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
Creating an outline for the course, and I can do whatever I want with it! I haven't used Rise before; AI makes it easier for me to understand!
AI Audio...I got curious and made sure to get people's attention in the Mental Health
section.
Quiz edits. It helps me by editing the quiz I generated and changing format questions to make sure it looks and feels right.
Changing the block. I like using this one as I can convert in order not to make certain graphic elements repetitive and keep the learner engaged.3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
Similar to question 2, it's the repetition and trying to find ways. Not to mention, the prompts to make images that is realted to the content.
4. Reflection.
I think this helps me build a course a bit easier and have me understand Rise more.
