Hi All! This hands-on challenge was a great experience for me. I took a look at some of your submissions and was definitely inspired by your creativity. it's great to collaborate with like-minded individuals like all of you.
Share 3 changes I made
- Shortening or simplifying text on some large paragraphs gave me the chance of better explain the content, and as a result, this will allow the learners to easily acquired the needed information from the course.
- The instant convert feature allowed me to quick help learners practice and assess their knowledge through practice questions and interactive activities.
- Using the same image style on each lesson created a consistent look and feel of the course; therefore providing a better learning experience for the users.
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable
The instant convert feature was a game changer for me. It allowed me to convert content into other engaging interactions and knowledge check activities easily and efficiently with minor tweaks from my end. I think it will be helpful for me as I can focus on the overall strategy of the learning experiences I design and leave the minor details to the AI assistant to help with.
What challenges did I face?
One of the biggest challenges for me was trying to refine the prompts several times until getting the right outcome I needed. Even though I could use the prompt generation functionality, there was still some additional work (minor) to get the desired outcome.

Roberto,
Good job on this course! I agree that viewing everyone’s work in this cohort has been inspiring. I’ve already seen several elements and ideas that I know I’ll be incorporating into my own work.
I really appreciated that you tried something different. It provided a different perspective and an opportunity to think about what approaches might work best for different types of training. I honestly can’t decide which lesson is my favorite between Building Trust, Engagement and Collaboration or Supporting Mental Health at Work. The color choice combined with the images stood out to me.
For a second, I thought you used different interactive blocks for each lesson, but then I realized it was the different designs, a little trick of the mind! All three lessons were engaging, but the last two pulled me in a little more.
Reading some of the thought processes everyone has shared with their submissions has also changed the way I approach reviewing. It has made me more intentional about looking at the choices behind each course and considering what the creator was trying to accomplish.

Hello!!
Here is the link to the module I created with the content shared: https://share.articulate.com/drZnQQ_I6rijT1-0OFyNJ- 3 changes I made - I converted the images to Ghibli illustrations; I added a scenario to one lesson using AI to come up with the script and audio; I generated the questions for the final quiz using AI.
- AI feature or capability that was most valuable - I love the fact that (with a good prompt and course description) AI literally writes the course for you. I have been playing around with Rise and love the fact that I can feed it a Word document and 80-85% of the module is done 🤩
- Challenges - primary challenge was trying to get feedback by choice for knowledge check in the lesson when there were multiple correct choices (I still have not figured this out).

Hello everyone,
Here is the link to the module I created
Building Happier Teams: Essential Skills for New Managers1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes?
One change I made was replacing the original AI-generated images with a more customized visual style. I added an extra prompt, “change all humans into cats,” and surprisingly, it actually worked! 😆 I wanted the course to have a more unique, fun, and consistent visual identity instead of using standard AI-generated images.
The second change was replacing the final paragraph block with a custom block that included audio. Rather than ending the section with another text-heavy paragraph, I wanted learners to have a different way to consume the content and make the learning experience feel more interactive.
The third change was enabling the AI Tutor and customizing its image to better match the style of the course. I also used AI assistance to generate the quiz and course summary. I wanted to make the course more engaging by giving learners opportunities to interact with the content, check their understanding, and review the key points at the end.
2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
The most valuable features for me were Instant Convert and Magic Text Import. They saved a significant amount of time when developing the course in Rise. Instead of manually transferring and formatting all the content, I could quickly bring the existing material into Rise and then focus more of my time on improving the learning experience.
What surprised me was how quickly these features could turn existing content into a usable course structure. It made the initial development process much faster than building everything from scratch.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
One of my biggest challenges was generating the AI cat images. I originally wanted to create a cat that looked similar to my own cat, Kuro, but it took many attempts and prompts, and the results still did not fully match what I had in mind.
This made me realize that text prompts alone can be limiting when I am trying to achieve a very specific visual result. It would be great if the AI Image Generation block allowed us to upload a reference image. For example, I could upload a photo of Kuro and ask the AI to generate a character based on his appearance while changing the setting, outfit, or pose. I think this would make it much easier to maintain a consistent character and visual style throughout a course.

Hi everyone! Here is my Rise AI project for you to check out, along with a few reflections on my experience: https://share.articulate.com/yLbLuB6UsxjtHfN9AQsKm
Bringing AI into e-learning course design is rapidly changing our workflows.
To prevent the course from turning into a passive reading exercise, I made three key changes to the draft:
- Brand-Aligned Visuals: Instead of generic stock images, I generated custom visual assets that follow our exact brand style. A cohesive look keeps learners visually immersed.
- Interactivity: I transformed dense text blocks into bite-sized scenario questions and interactive knowledge checks, encouraging learners to actively test their understanding in real time.
- Clear and Scannable Text Structure: I condensed the AI-generated text into easily digestible bullet points and bolded key keywords. This reduces cognitive overload and helps learners quickly grasp essential concepts.
The most valuable and surprising feature throughout the process was the ability to generate high-quality, on-brand visuals directly within the course platform. This used to take up an immense amount of our production time. I was genuinely amazed by how accurately the AI locked onto our visual identity and maintained stylistic consistency—saving hours of manual image editing and freeing up time to focus on quality instructional design.
Overall, the experiment went amazingly well. While fine-tuning prompts required a little tweaking at first, my prompting skills improved significantly even within this short trial. It’s been great to see how fast the learning curve is, and I’m super excited to take these learnings and apply them directly to my everyday work!

Nice job incorporating AI Assistant into your course! I especially enjoyed the images you included. You did an excellent job using image prompts to create high-quality visuals that complemented the content and enhanced the overall learner experience. The images felt purposeful and aligned well with the course material, making the content more engaging and visually appealing.
- JohnSagalaCommunity Member
Amazing using the AI Assistant in your course! I really liked the visual aspect that you were able to create for your course. You did an excellent job using thoughtful image prompts.
- ShimellHPeer Guide
Good job on this course! I really liked the 3D animation used in the first lesson and the way the text was structured. It created a seamless flow through the content, while the different background colors helped distinguish the sections. I also appreciated the use of interactive blocks to add engagement.
I liked the seamless flow of the content in the second and third lessons as well. One small navigation suggestion for Lesson 2 it seemed to be missing a divider or connector to guide the learner into Lesson 3 without having to select Lesson 3 from the panel menu.
I also noticed that Lessons 2 and 3 were more content heavy and didn’t have visual elements or interactive blocks to support the material. Adding a few visuals or interactions throughout the entire course can help break up the content, maintain engagement, and give learners additional ways to process and interact with the information.

I incorporated many AI-powered features to make the course more interactive and engaging. First, I used Edit Text to generate image prompts and create custom visuals for an accordion interaction, helping learners connect with the content more effectively. Second, I added AI-generated audio to knowledge checks and several text heavy sections in the course. Third, I used the AI Block to improve content, rewrite text, and change interactions.
The most valuable part of the experience was learning how to use AI effectively within Storyline and developing a dedicated document to organize and refine my AI prompts. I was also surprised by the capabilities available with AI-generated audio, particularly the ability to customize narration and synchronize animations with on-screen text.
The biggest challenge was creating image prompts that consistently generated the visuals I envisioned. I often needed to refine and adjust prompts multiple times to achieve the right style, composition, and level of detail.

Hi, Heidi! Great job on your course. I especially liked the graphic you created for the four pillars in lesson 1 and how you've incorporated a title or focus word on each of the illustrations you generated. The checklist in lesson was a good touch!
Here's a couple of items I'd suggest you look at to make your course stronger.- Add a divider after the numbered list (objectives) in each lesson so there's a visual break in the content.
- I don't think you need the audio in the knowledge checks, if audio isn't used elsewhere in your course.

I had three main changes to my draft Building Happy and Fulfilled Teams: Essential Skills for New Managers. First, I added images and audio throughout the course to add more an audiovisual aspect to the training. Second I added interactivity to several blocks to keep learners engaged by having to click on flashcards, and click through processes. Third I changed the tone and making text shorter this helped cut down on the amount of text the learners need to read helping them stay more engaged.
The most valuable AI feature for me while editing this course was AI images. This really assisted my in providing a visual aspect to the training to help break up the text.
At first I did struggle with trying to find the prompt to articulate what I wanted to see in each image. After being more descriptive I was able to capture what I was looking for.
- MichelleReyn096Community Member
I ended up in your boat with the AI prompting but, like you, I found that more descriptions were helpful. The AI features certainly make the course creation process simpler when you have all the pieces needed. I like the AI images in your course and the shorter texts and tone too. Great job!

Hello there

I really enjoyed the challenge as there were lot of new things I learned. I liked the 'Open with Hook strategy' in Rise and really used it for my courses. It catches the attention of the learners as they can relate to the learning content.
- CathyRojo-2965fCommunity Member
Hi, Stanley!
I liked how you've used the hook strategy throughout your course and the graphics you've used. What prompt did you use to create your images of the various four pillars?
I also like the layout of your course - there's a consistency with how the information is provided.
It was a great idea to have "testimonials" from "Remy" and "Anne", which helps to understand how to apply some of the concepts in the course.
Here are a few feedback items that could potentially help make your course stronger and easier for students to take:
- Add a divider after each numbered lesson objective - that way the student knows there's a break between the objectives and the start of the lesson
- In lesson 3, under the "four pillars" image, there's tiny font stating to "explore each pillar" which led me to think I was supposed to be able to interact with the graphic itself, but I think that directive is supposed to go with the accordion block.
- In lesson 3, there's a Continue block that should probably be deleted because there's nothing else after it.

Thank you for reviewing the course. Much appreciated.

Hi, everyone! Here's the link to the course I created:
https://share.articulate.com/ew8bTHYsZnE8izTrb8Bdn
For the initial setup of the course, I had Rise AI include images and added a final quiz lesson. For the quiz, I had Rise AI generate the lesson and questions, stating in my prompt to include a variety of interactive options such as a sorting activity and regular knowledge checks. I also used AI to shorten the course name and update the course description to be more friendly and shorter.
I've added images and audio throughout the course and edited some of the text using AI, which really helped with my workflow and enabled me to generate this course much quicker than if I were to start from scratch.
I had to refine my prompts and regenerated images and text, to get the results I preferred.- ChristineVaz053Community Member
Congrats on your course, Cathy! It has a nice, clean look and I like how you aim to have a mixed-media approach to learning.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
CathyRojo-2965f , I also really love the mixed-media approach to your course!
It was well incorporated and makes great use of the AI Assistant. Thank you for sharing and hopefully you found the cohort useful for your work moving forward.

Hi, Everyone,
I've completed my course and enjoyed this valuable learning experience: https://share.articulate.com/znhZ43s1oq-jii9Y4pSay
- 3 changes I made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement: I bolded some key words and made them magenta to make them more visible. I lengthened an intro and asked for credible stats to be added to make it more engaging for the learner. Finally, I created a custom image in manga style to show teammates working together yet embracing their individual goals. I enjoyed being able to design a unique image perfect for this scenario.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in my workflow, and why?: I enjoyed being able to create audio for text. This could help out a lot with accessibility and appealing to a variety of learner preferences. It surprised me how much Articulate can support accessibility.
- What challenges did I face when trying to get AI to produce the results I wanted?: Sometimes the images I created were too busy in the background. I had to pair down the prompt and try things out a few times to get it right. My manga image had thought bubbles in Japanese at first. I edited the prompt so the thought bubbles would be in English. One image had thought bubbles in English spelled incorrectly. You have to check over AI work carefully.
- dsdcruzePeer Guide
ChristineVaz053 , I'm leaving a gif reaction of my face when I opened your course and read the first page. Thou dost maketh it interesting. I was wondering...are they going to do this for the whole course. If they did, holy moly that would be intense. Ha ha.
The Manga in Lesson 1 was awesome. I haven't even considered flexing the AI Assistant into doing that! I can understand why it would present some challenges, but it seemed worth it for the result.
Hopefully, you found this cohort helpful and will be able to use the AI Assistant moving forward! Thank you for sharing your course and creativity.
- ChristineVaz053Community Member
dsdcruze I wanted to have fun with this one and push the limits of what's possible! :D
Thank you! A Shakespearean voice, manga, and more are possible in this AI Assistant! I'm so glad I participated in the cohort because I'm much more aware of different features and that's the beginning of thinking about all the possibilities!

I only worked on the first chapter of the AI generated course. Here is what I did:
- I created several custom blocks where I displayed information in a more appealing way and also transformed written text into audio format.
- I vibecoded an activity and used the html block to add this activity.
- And last but not lease, I have created an activity in Storyline that allows the learner to take notes and then save it as a word file. This is something that I often use in other training modules as well. I did not use Articulate AI to create this, but vibecoded the javascript that creates a word file out of the text entries with chatGPT.
- I really love the text to speech-application in Articulate and use that very often, but also the AI image generation is very strong. I do not use the AI chat in Storyline that much yet, however, I was surprised to learn how strong it was when you want to create a series of similar images.
- I tried to create animations in Storyline and the AI chat integration could not always handle my requests. Maybe it was about the prompt, maybe I was just too ambitious😉 ;)

Custom Block: I love the overlay of the 4 points onto the photo for Why Happiness Matters.
- Is that the custom block you created? My company uses this a lot in PowerPoint presentations, but I always forget to bring these skills into the custom blocks.
Scenario/Quiz: The scenario learning format is great. I love the interactivity.
- Is this the one you vibecoded? I'll have to dig deeper on how to do this.
- This format feels so much more interactive compared to the typical Rise quiz template/format. It can get repetitive.
AI Voice Cards: I like your use of the AI voice assistant on the flipcards for Finding Meaning and Purpose at Work.
- I never think to integrate them into the back of the card, or really any of the cards either.
One Suggestion: In the "Supporting Team Member's Unique Motivations" portion, it looks like you used AI Photos for each of the blocks, but each person is in the same position and feels a little stagnant.
- You could consider changing up your prompt so it shows photos that relate more to connection and balance, purpose and mission, and achievement and recognition, not just people smiling/laughing at their desk.
Overall, great job! I'd love to take this training myself as a learner!
- TarynPorterCommunity Member
Hi Fabienne, what an amazing course! I love the look of the course and the features you added in the first chapter, specifically the vibecoded activity and the notes feature. It is great reminder of all that is possible in Rise, as I currently spend most of my time in Storyline.
An AI feature I think you used really well was transforming the written text into audio format. I had not thought about doing this on the flashcards, I would definitely try this in the future.
One suggestion to make this first chapter even better, I wonder if there is a way to provide feedback to the learner on the notes they capture during the "Supporting Team Members' Unique Motivations" activity? Or if not direct feedback, some ideas that they can review to cross-check what they thought of on their own? Just a thought!
- ShimellHPeer Guide

Awesome use of the Custom Blocks! The way you designed the course makes it engaging and really pulls you right in. I especially liked the interactive Notes section. It’s a great way to encourage learners to actively engage with the content rather than just read through it. Great job!- Fabienne_WerderCommunity Member
Thanks a lot, I also like that notes idea. That's a Storyline interaction I created, I can share it here in case someone is interested🙂
