- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? As far as presentation goes, I found more useful the easiness to switch between different types of blocks and maintaining the content and its relevance intact. Also, the fact that resources can be added/removed/modified in particular parts of the training.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? It is interesting to see how far technology can reach right now, although I don't see an immediate application on the training I'm thinking on developing, probably more with videos than audio.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? All of them offers their unique value in helping the creator tailoring the content as far as rewording goes. Usually, and after a while of manipulating information, us as humans, tend to get tired and imagination starts to fade. This type of tools helps us to maintain the pace and quality along the whole presentation without draining our scarce attention resources in these areas of the training development.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? I am new in using these types of tools so I'm starting in the learning curve. I'm excited to get to see all what I can do with everything I'm learning.
Ale_Rivera_BSK I can relate to your comment about AI being helpful when our human imaginations start to fade. I often lean on the AI Assistant to help me think of creative ways to present content, especially text!

AlyssaGomez I have been working through the week 1 activities. I find myself wanting the training video on one screen and following along with the practice activity on the right, but I get an error that I'm already editing the content. Is there a workaround?

You could publish a quick link and use that to watch the video, while working in the other one.

I also just figured out another solution - I copied over the course again and renamed it so I can have two different courses open at the same time, but really it's the same course :)
That's a smart solution JessicaMcCune! That's also good feedback I'll keep in mind for future cohort. Thanks for letting me know!

- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I use several different genAI tools frequently, and I must say that both the image generation and audio generation features are probably the best I have experimented with. Prompts matter, of course, but I loved the variability of image types and the variety of strong results I was finding when experimenting.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I will use the heck out of rewrite and shorten no doubt! I enjoy making training as simple as possible so that folks can get the key concepts without having to trudge through a long course.
WOW I love to hear that JessicaMcCune! Do you have any favorite image prompting strategies you can share? I always love to hear tips and tricks for how you're able to get strong results.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- I really like the knowledge check converter in Rise. It was able to summarize the content and create a great question..
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I like the media generation. It came close to what I prompted, especially when looking for an image on "cookies".
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I like "shorten" and "change tone", especially when I'm writing voiceover. The editing helps the script sound more natural.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- The AI image maker is always a challenge, but I was able to easily adjust with the practice activities.
Hi abaldwin2025 kudos to you for trying out the beta AI Avatars feature! We haven't included that in the cohort content yet since the feature is still in beta, but I love that you're test it out. Are you a part of the labs group where you can share your feedback on the experience?

I updated my response to what I actually did in the practice activities. I tried the AI Avatars feature in another course I am updating.

1. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The most useful feature that I found was where you can edit the text with AI. I did not realize that you could put your own prompt into the editor. This allows me to get really creative with this program!
2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
The create an AI image prompt surprised me. This tool is really useful when trying to create good images that go along with the text.

Which AI Assistant feature
Image creation—hands down. So many training courses are painfully boring; it often feels like people are afraid to add any life or fun into the content, even something as simple as an engaging image. I also love using AI to create course outlines in Rise. Unfortunately, was not able to test in Storyline. What challenges do you see?
I wish Rise made voiceovers easier. Ideally, I’d love to record a short demo in my own voice and have AI immediately replicate the speed, and clear enunciation across the course narration.
Hey CristiNyman! I'm glad you tried out the AI Narration in Rise! I agree that it would be nice to be able to record your own voice--I'll share that with our team as a feature request!

Ryan_Dykstra I wanted to follow up with you about a question you asked in today's office hours session:
The number of voices shown at the top of the voices list in Storyline reflects the ones currently added to My Voices, which is why the list appears smaller than what you see in Rise.
To access the extended voice library, click the Voice Library button on the right side of that window. From there, you can browse thousands of additional AI voices, filter them by attributes such as age, accent, and use case, and add the ones you want to My Voices.
Let me know if that helps!

1. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
I think the block changes are amazing as I like to think through options on what will resonate most or be most engaging. The feature works seamlessly.
3. Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
The shorten feature is most valuable for me. We try to limit wordiness, so either when our writing is too long or the AI summary of our ideas is long, the shorten feature is wonderful!
I agree, hannacarson1! As a self-proclaimed wordy-writer, I really appreciate the "Shorten" prompt to shorten my text.

2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
What surprised me was how AI was able to spell the words correctly. That ability has gotten so much better in the years that I have used the various AI tools for image generation. A second surprise is the way that the voice generation ability has gotten so close to real-sounding voices versus where they were just a few short years ago.
4. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
Working to get the prompt the correct length for what you want without too many details to clutter the image versus too short and not getting anywhere near close to what you are expecting. I will say the challenge of getting the image generator to not draw 'cookies' was fun.
Hey dcox370 thanks for sharing your experience! You're right, the AI image generation has gotten a lot better about handling text on images, especially if it's just a single word of text. I'm sure the quality will continue to improve over time!

Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
The rewrite and shorten tools were the most valuable because they helped quickly polish and tighten content to fit Rise blocks while keeping it clear and learner‑friendly.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I need to practice prompts. Broad prompts often led to generic wording and required a few iterations to get the right tone or level of detail. I'm looking forward to Week 2!Awesome, heather_t! I think you'll enjoy Week 2 -- it includes a lot of prompting practice!
