- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- I really enjoy the AI image generator. The images AI can generate have come a long way since I first started using it. I also like the ability in Rise to convert text to an interactive activity. That helps save time.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I don't currently use sounds in my content, so the ability to generate voice overs and sound effects are interesting.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I like "shorten". We like our content to be a short as possible, but still cover the necessary information. This tool helps ensure we don't get too wordy with our courses.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- In the Storyline sample, I used AI to add animations to the slide. I then asked AI to set the animation to trigger when the user clicked NEXT. The AI could not get that request to work correctly.

KyleNewell-4e9e The audio has been my number one used feature. We used to have a separate subscription to a AI voice platform, and we were able to get rid of it when this launched. Sometimes, I export the audio file and use it to make a video that can be used in the course.
- KyleNewell-4e9eCommunity Member
DonielleB Do you use audio in every course? Or, what prompts you to use it versus not?
One reason I don't use it much, is most of my end users work in the field and may have spotty connections or may not have all of the equipment to hear narration. Also, I feel people can naturally read faster at their own pace instead of having to wait on a narrator, which may ultimately lead to frustration.
Hey KyleNewell-4e9e thanks for sharing about your experience! And you really put AI Assistant to the test by asking it to generate a trigger for you. 😄 It's currently not able to create triggers in Storyline, but hopefully that's something we can add in the future!

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? I liked the AI prompts and trying different ways to improve it.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? While using the editorial option, the AI struggled with the spelling in the text bubbles in the images it created.
You're right, Okie, the AI Assistant sometimes struggles with text on images. Although, it does seem to be improving over time!

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- Editing text felt the most intuitive. I frequently use this function in other tools, so it was natural.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- I can see a real benefit of being able to convert text blocks so they include images. Even if the generated image isn't perfect, I feel like it's helpful for ideation.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I didn't realize we could use the edit AI text to make things bold. I haven't had a chance to try the analogy one yet, but I am going to actively look through existing content for a place to try this. I tried to use the editing to center a piece of text. It worked in the preview, but it didn't carry through once saved. In reality, this is a change I'd do on my own because it's easier, I was just testing it out.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- Character consistency. I tried to produce multiple images with the same character, but I was unable to achieve the result.

I'm chiming in again :). I asked the AI assistant to create a slow zoom on an image to give the appearance of movement. I was amazed that it was able to do it. The executed product was too choppy. I realize I need to either improve the prompt or learn more on how to edit the java script it created. I'm impressed.
- KyleNewell-4e9eCommunity Member
I'll have to try that!
So cool DonielleB! It sounds like you created an AI Javascript Animation!

Hi DanielleB
The slow zoom on an image sound as something interesting. I would definitely look for ways to learn about that. Are there any sources you can point to?

Very cool info, Donielle! I'll have to check out the AI JavaScript Animation Alyssa posted on this topic.

Hi AI Cohort Friends -
The kick off to week one has been great! I played around in Rise (i typically only have used Storyline) and found it was amazing. Here are my answers to a couple of the prompts:
- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? For me, I enjoyed the ease of all of it. I have used AI text to speech most often, but I feel so empowered now with the depth of what AI can accomplish and the images I can create.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? I think what surprised me the most was the images and how you can manipulate the boxes with just prompts and you don't have to do manual transparency or manual 'bold first words' - that is so quick and easy.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? Again, I love them all - but I love the change tone and shorten most of all currently because those help me most of all since I tend to be 'wordy' and I always prefer a friendlier tone so its not so borining.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? So far, the only challenge I had was when we were doing the images on the front of the question cards. I screwed up on one of them and the image went on the back of the card instead of the front and i couldn't figure out how to 'undo' it or swap out the 'duplicate' card I had created prior to starting the exercise. So I just worked on my duplicate group to complete the assignment.

Hi KarenBurlingame
I really like to use Rise because of how things "flow" in the creation of content and the use of what is published. In my opinion, the use of AI definitely enhances the capability of Rise. I think that all AI editing tools are great and they save a lot of time when building content.
Something I didn't see in the presentation was how Rise handles Accessibility features. Accessibility tools have become a very important part of content creation, especially in certain regulatory content.
Have you ever used accessibility tools for your content creation?

I thought the callout for a duplicate group was a good one, since there's not an easy undo feature (that I have seen yet)
- DonielleBCommunity Member
I stumbled across "labs" last week. You can toggle to try some beta features and the undo button is one of them.

Hi KarenBurlingame so happy to hear you've been enjoying the cohort so far! And great call out to duplicate Rise blocks before editing them with AI. It makes it easy to go back to the original, if needed 😄

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- I really enjoy the AI image generator.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
- It did a lot better with creating the images than I expected.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I like the change tone so you don't have to change the entire voice, keeps it all flowing together.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- Just trying to get AI to include the correct technical data when we use it for summaries and other things. Its hard to tell exactly what subjects it will pick out to highlight.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
A: AI Image generator and instant convert were awesome. Having the opportunity of auto generating images and quickly converting types of blocks saves a lot of time in content creation.
2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
A: Is was great! The way it produces images and the flexibility of styles, makes it a powerful tool. I also have to say it is great you can save a bank of media for future use or going back and changing what you had.
3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
A: Using the correct words, and making sure the AI doesn't misinterpret words, like for example when using the word cookie in the exercise. I figured out that if I use quotation marks on the words and clearly provided context on the word, it immediately gave me better results.
- dcox370Community Member
mcarreras I concur with how easily the tools convert text to images and how quickly new materials can be generated from previously existing, potentially end of live materials. Nice hint on using quotations marks, I found that was the way to get AI to stop drawing cookies for the practice file #4.

“I’m brand new to Articulate, and I’m absolutely loving it so far. 😃 ”
1. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
Answer: I love how it can organize my original material in a logical flow for training (moving smoothly from one topic to the next) and help me create knowledge checks and summaries.
2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
Answer: The best part for me is being able to upload my files and have AI read them and prepare the training content in a matter of minutes.
3. Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
Answer: I often use the Rewrite and Shorten tools, especially since English isn’t my first language, this tool saves me a tremendous amount of time.
4. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
Answer: Our organization uses a lot of acronyms, and AI voice-overs often try to pronounce them as full words, which limits my ability to use the voiceover function.
I’m hopeful AI can find a way to handle acronyms better (for example, spelling them out).
It would also be helpful to have a clear, quick Undo option, I made a few mistakes, I couldn’t easily go back.
SusanHeymans as a newer Articulate user, I'm so glad you're a part of this cohort! This is a great place to get up and running quickly.
And good news -- we're working on a new Undo feature for Rise. It's currently available for testing in Labs if anyone wants to test it out!
- dcox370Community Member
SusanHeymans I find that the rewrite feature is one that I have relied on the most in practice, especially when drafting emails and other documents. I like to be able to just dump all my thoughts out and then use AI to help arrange them into a logical order and then I find I can better analyze what I am looking at and have a better overall end product.

- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? All the information provided was highly valuable. I have utilized many of these features over an extended period. My projects primarily incorporate videos rather than still images, so I typically rely on the audio from the video itself and seldom employ text-to-speech functionality.
- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? Upon developing an AI-generated course based on current operating procedures, I was impressed by its comprehensive approach. The course not only clarifies the procedures but also provides training regarding their importance and potential consequences of non-compliance.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? All of them are valuable. I have used all of them depending on the type of content and audience I was working with.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? It would be great if there was an “Undo last action” option. Also, it would be great to have a “Exit block” to put at the end of a course summary that would close the window.
