Week 2 Discussion

Welcome to the final discussion of the cohort! You’ve created your AI Course Draft in Rise and applied what you learned about AI Assistant. Now it is time to showcase your work and reflect on your experience.

🤩 This is your chance to show off your work!
  1. Copy the Quick Share link to the AI Course Draft you created in the Week 2 Hands On Challenge and paste it in a reply to this discussion.
  2. Below your Quick Share link, answer these two questions:
    • What’s one AI technique you learned in the Week 2 Guided Practice Activity that you plan to apply right away in your current projects?
    • Where did the AI course draft generation add the most value to the course-building workflow, and where did you need to step in with your own expertise?

After you post, take a few minutes to look at your peers’ courses and reply to at least one other post. You might:

  • Share what you liked about their course structure or content
  • Call out an effective use of AI Assistant
  • Offer one suggestion to make the course even stronger

This is your opportunity to showcase your work and learn from how others are using AI Assistant in their own designs!

  • I really enjoy creating trainings and this was no exception; I wanted to edit the entire course and us all the AI I could. Here is my creation.

    Questions:

Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific

    1. Added a hook to the opening paragraph and changed the tone of the second paragraph
    2. Added AI audio under the opening paragraph
    3. Added a matching quiz before, "recognizing Individual motivations"

Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?

Being able to quickly adjust tone and make edits helps make the content creation process faster and more efficient. Anything that helps save time while creating content is a strong value-add for me.

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?

Creating specific prompts required some trial and error, particularly in finding the right level of detail. However, beyond that initial uncertainty, the activity was enjoyable overall.

Sorry for the delay. I had originally posted the link through the source on the page but did not post here. My edits were in the Promoting Mental Health Block, in addition to the Summary at the beginning and the Quiz at the end.
I think the rewrite is the AI tool that I lean into more than any other possibly with the exception of image generation. I am working on a course and used the image generation tool to make all of the images so that it was consistent and ensured that I had all the images that I needed.
I used the hook at the beginning, I think this might be very useful if going ILT as well because hooks are very useful when opening the sessions as an alternative to an icebreaker.
