Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to get to know each of you over the next few weeks! π I'm Alyssa, the Training Program Manager at Articulate. I've been so fortunate to be a part of the Articulate team for the past 10 years, and I love teaching our customers new and creative ways to use our tools.
I'm located in Bellingham, WA π² but I'm a native Texan at heart. I share my home office with two cuties, Basil (airedale terrier) and Remi (wirehaired pointer). I'd love to see photos of your pets, as well!
I'm excited to dive in to the AI Assistant with you soon!

Hello, my name is Tracy Parker, and I am a Project Manager IV in Sales and Account Management at Kaiser Permanente, California Region. I have been in this role for four years, but prior to that, I worked as a Design & Delivery Consultant (instructional designer) for Kaiser. Although I stepped into a PM role, my passion has always been learning and development. Prior to my current role, I have worked as an instructor, technical writer, and instructional designer for more than two decades.
In reading through some of my cohort members' descriptions of their work, I get jealous because I long to be doing instructional design work again full-time. :( Anyhow, I do get to do some design work in my PM role, which makes me very happy. Since knowing how to use AI tools is increasingly important in the field of Learning & Development, I wanted to use this opportunity to sharpen my eLearning design skills so that when I return to the field full-time, I won't be behind my peers.
I look forward to learning alongside the rest of the group and seeing and hearing how everyone will use this new tool in their work.
No doggie picture. Sorry. :(

Hi Tracy, welcome to the cohort! It sounds like you have a great plan, to build your design skills so that you'll be ready when the next opportunity strikes. I hope you learn a lot over the next couple of weeks to help you on your journey! π

Howdy Hey! I'm Amy Burton, a Senior Instructional Designer for Judge Learning Solutions and work remotely from Boise, ID. Excited to be here and learn more about AI capabilities in authoring tools. I love reading and writing (but not arithmetic). :) This is a photo of Chims the Hims, who passed away in February. The grief is softening and the hunt begins for another sweet and spicy anger dragon. So if y'all hear of any special ones, you can send them my way. :)

Hi Amy! I, too, have a destroyer of socks (my Whipador)! And a holder of socks! My blind black Golden has the really soft Golden mouth and loves carrying a sock around ... he gets so excited when he has one! LOL, I used to think it was bad when I'd lose a sock or two in the dryer, but I finally had to buy socks just for him to save all my other socks. π

Hi all -
My name is Abby Chough, and I'm an instructional designer at Kaiser Permanente (I see lots of us here! π). I live in the metro Washington, DC area.
In my day-to-day, I work on e-learning, standalone videos, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and more. I love Articulate and have been using the AI tools, but I am excited to use this Cohort as a time to experiment and grow!
I work from home, but my teammate is my mutt, Ruby, who moonlights as a UPS driver (but only at Halloween π).

Hi, I am Mieke Postma, Instructional Design Manager based out of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As part of my day-to-day activities, conduct performance analyses and build courses to bridge some of the gaps that exist. I do this in the always exciting, never dull Global Logistics Industry, for an amazing company called Expeditors.
I joined this Training Program to learn more about the Articulate AI Assistant, obviously. I need to continue to learn and adjust to new skills, just like everybody else. I want to prevent somebody analyzing our performance, and come to the conclusion that there is a skill gap π.. I hope to learn how I can use the AI Assistant, to make me a more efficient Instructional Designer / developer. I have not really worked with the assistant yet, so am eager and excited to get started.

Hi! I'm Shanda Heacock, a Junior Learning Experience Designer at Gesa Credit Union, based out of Spokane, WA, but I live in Athol, ID. My day to day includes learning more about key design and instructional design principles as I will be doing in this cohort as well as working collaboratively with SMEs to create trainings in Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Canva mainly using tools like Vyond and Camtasia for video needs. Presently, I'm in the depths of transferring all ILT PowerPoints to Canva and updating facilitator guides to flow better.
I'm hoping to improve my AI prompting to be able to use the AI assistant more efficiently by participating in the Articulate AI Assistant Cohort.
The doggies are my two rescues; Willow, the little white fluff ball that is blind in one eye and Griffin, the big dog that is allergic to everything :).
