Week 1 Welcome & Introductions
Hi everyone! I’m Kandiace, currently based between Indiana and Germany depending on the season. I work at Vituity, where I focus on learning strategy, systems, and making complex things easier for people to actually use. My title matters less than the day-to-day: solving messy problems, improving learning experiences, translating ideas into action, and helping teams move from “this is confusing” to “this actually works.” A surprising amount of my work involves asking better questions before building anything.
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort because AI feels more like a literacy shift. I want to sharpen practical skills, learn smarter workflows, and better understand how to use AI as a true thinking partner instead of just a faster search engine. I’m especially interested in systems, creativity, productivity, and how AI can reduce friction without reducing humanity.
Bonus pet intro: I don’t currently have a pet living with me full-time, but I do a fair amount of pet sitting. Which means I get the emotional benefits of dogs without the long-term negotiations over furniture ownership. Probably the greatest modern compromise. 🐶

Hi Kandiace, welcome to the cohort! I like your idea of AI feeling like a literacy shift, that's a good way to describe it. I have definitely found the AI assistant is a great thinking partner and I'm sure you will too! I look forward to seeing your thoughts next week. 🙂
