Hi everyone! I’m Jordyn Avery, based in Olympia, Washington, and I work at WSECU as an Organizational Learning Specialist. My work spans instructional design and facilitation, supporting everything from operational training to change management and service-focused learning, with a focus on helping teams build skills and confidence during moments of change.
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort to better understand the AI and assistant tools available within Articulate. My development workload fluctuates, and every time I jump back into Articulate, new tools and features have been introduced. I’m hoping this cohort helps me stay current, build confidence using these tools intentionally, and design learning solutions that are more efficient and supportive for learners.

Hi Jordyn Avery, welcome to the cohort! I agree, it seems like there's always a new Articulate update rolling out and the AI tools especially have come SO far, SO fast! I think you'll get that confidence you're looking for in the next couple weeks! 🙂

Hello! I'm Gina from Northern California. I work as a Learning Design Consultant at Kaiser Permanente primarily focused on leadership development. I do curriculum design, instructional design, e-learning and more. I'm excited for a hands-on experience using AI Assistant and hope to learn some best practices.
My furry buddy here is Preston. He helps me to attain my daily stand goals and stretch breaks.- MelAngiuloPeer Guide
Hi Gina, welcome to the cohort! Preston looks like a very helpful assistant and I see that he's training an intern too (lol)! I think you'll have fun getting that hands-on experience over the next couple weeks and I look forward to seeing what you create!

Hi everyone! My name is Olive, and I'm located in Georgia. I work in IT at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where I focus on learning and development, onboarding, and professional development opportunities for our IT staff.
I joined because I'm really interested in learning practical ways to use AI to make work easier, improve training development, and create more engaging learning experiences.

Welcome to the cohort, Olive! Have you had a chance to try out any of the AI features yet, or are you using this cohort as an opportunity to get your feet wet?! Either way, I'm excited for you to be here and learn along the way!

Hi Everyone
I live in a smaller town outside of Toronto, Ontario Canada. It is called Oshawa and once was the center for building General Motors cars and trucks.
However since I am semi-retired I travel much of the year. We usually spend our winters in Belize or Guatemala where it is much warmer than Toronto.
I have been using many of the AI functions for RISE but there is always so much to learn that I wanted to join this group. I am a Freelancer but sometimes I work for a length of time for clients. Over the past few years I have developed courses for apprenticeships using RISE as well as some onboarding courses for small companies.
Since we travel a lot we have had to forgo having pets.
ReneHey ReneYapp so glad you're here! Excited to learn with you! 🙌

Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to learning along with you. I'm a long-time trainer in logistics and supply chain. Over the years, I've developed courses to deliver myself but I'm now in a role that requires a lot more intentional instructional design for a much wider audience so AI assistance is a most welcome help to me. I have a lot to learn in general! Here is a picture of my three cats. The one in the middle looks human but she assures me that's an illusion.

Hi Ellen, welcome to the cohort! I'm not sure what you're talking about, I only see cats in that photo 😂 I definitely think that the AI tools can help when you're working with a broad audience and I look forward to seeing what you create in week 2!

Hi everyone! I’m Zoraida, and I’m based in Long Island, New York. I’m an Instructional Designer in the Learning and Development team at Flagstar Bank, and I’ll be celebrating my 10-year anniversary there this June. I’ve been in the Instructional Designer role for a little over four years and really enjoy growing my skills and learning new things along the way.
I included a picture of Dodger, Cheddar, and Kitty. Kitty had to be photoshopped into the photo because she prefers her own space, but I really wanted all three of them together, so I made it happen! They’re all rescues and are completely spoiled rotten, as they should be.
I’m excited to be part of this AI Assistant cohort and am really looking forward to learning new skills to enhance my Storyline courses.
Happy 10 years ZoraidaAllen-1a! I'm also celebrating 10 years at Articulate this year, so we have something in common! Have you been using Articulate tools for that long?

Hi cohort friends👋
My name is Charis (pronounced kuh-REEZ), and I live in South Florida.
I'm the Global Instructional Design Manager at Airbnb 🏡 and I believe some of my direct reports and colleagues are in this cohort with me😉 I oversee all the design and development of Customer Support onboarding curricula, which basically means I attend a lot of daily Zoom meetings about timelines, milestones, and deliverables 📅 I also manage our ID style guide, assets and templates, and course review process💻
I joined this cohort (and encouraged my team to join as well!) to learn more about the AI Assistant capabilities, so we can hopefully integrate some of the features into our workflows to improve training content for our learners.
My furry officemates are Jean Jacket (Malinois), Boba (French Bulldog), and Rootbeer (Tortie).
