Week 1 Welcome & Introductions

Hello, I am Andrew. I'm a senior instructional designer for a large hospital and healthcare system. I reside in the central Pennsylvania area (some would say it is a pretty sweet area to live, IYKYK). I have been toying around with the AI tools but am excited to have some dedicated time to focus and gain some new tips and tricks and learn what others are doing. 

As the bonus, this is Sir Bricks A Lot.

  I'm Valerie and I live in central Ohio (USA) and I work for the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.  I'm an instructional designer and design courses mainly for educators throughout Ohio. We are switching to a new LMS so things are really crazy right now.
• I joined this cohort so I could learn more about AI in our jobs.
• This is my litter of puppies born in March and the last one is leaving tonight.  I love raising them but it is so much work.

Hi! I'm Elizabeth and I am an Education Consultant for a Healthcare Organization in Newfoundland, Canada. I my background is nursing but I have worked with L&D for the past 14 years. I deliver face to face training and work with SMEs to develop online course modules for our organization. I'm excited to learn more about how I can effectively use the AI tools that are available to me!

I'm Pascal, the Program Manager for the Service Academy at Roche Diagnostics, based in Switzerland. My role involves managing a skill-assessment platform that provides skill-based learning resources for our Service teams.

Hello everyone! I'm Alankrita, and I'm thrilled to be part of this cohort! I'm based in Bangalore, India, where I work as a learning content developer specialist at my current company. My role combines various responsibilities, including developing e-learning courses and supporting the LMS team with enhancements and new features.

Recently, I've been exploring some AI capabilities in RISE and Storyline, and I'm eager to learn more about utilizing these features and honing my skills with advanced techniques. A highlight for me will be connecting with fellow peers and engaging in lively discussions.

Hi everyone, I am Savita Tyagi, from India and I work as an instructional designer in an MNC. My day to day involves creating trainings for retail representatives and I am constantly looking for ways to make those trainings engaging for learners. I have enrolled in this course to learn how I can use AI to create the design that I have in mind and use it as my thought partner whenever I get stuck.

I don't have a pet right now but hopefully I will have a kitten soon :)

My name is Sascha and I’m based in Switzerland. I work in a mid-sized company as part of the training team, where I create e-learning content for various departments and groups. My day-to-day work involves designing, developing, and maintaining digital learning materials to support internal education and professional development.

I am located in San Juan Bautista, California. I love Los Angeles and spend some of my downtime there when I can, and occasionally catch a Dodgers game. 

I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort to see how I could make the most of AI in Rise and Storyline, and I hope to use that knowledge to tailor projects more closely to SME requests and even offer better suggestions for presenting their ideas.

My big project for the next year is supporting faculty as they continue to improve course accessibility, but my other big project is exploring AI and all of its affordances for both faculty, students, and staff.
