Hi, I'm Neka! I am in Tacoma, WA (by way of Atlanta, GA), and I'm a Principal Analyst for the City of Tacoma. In my day-to-day job I manage the training and development activities for a CX division. We provide technical and soft skills training and performance optimization for customer facing employees for the utility department. I'm here to find ways to incorporate the use of AI Assistant that will improve our efficiency. I have a chiweenie named Snoopy (the black one) and a doxipoo named Yoshi (the white one).

Hi Neka and welcome! Snoopy and Yoshi look like very supportive coworkers! Look forward to exploring the AI assistant tools with you and hearing your thoughts.

Hello! I am an long time sr. instructional designer for Denver Water, in ... Denver, of course. I spend most of my time these days managing the LMS, consulting on learning related challenges and coaching SMEs. The amount of time I have to focus on larger development projects is limited, so we have pivoted to helping people draft/create their own content in tools like Rise and Scribe, rather than waiting for me to have capacity. AI has been a godsend, both in Articulate and Adobe products. I feel like I regularly need to advocate for it with coworkers and friends who are still in that "skynet is coming" contingent.
This is Raven, she is 9 and currently struggling with skin cancer. It is hard, but she is a trooper.

Hi Jessica, welcome to the cohort! I hear you on the difficulty of advocating for AI with the adamant holdouts! Are there any AI assistant tools that you use frequently already?
Also, my heart goes out to you and your Raven with her condition. She looks like one tough cookie, though!

Hi everyone!
My name is Jozelle, and I’m located in the Dallas, Texas Metro Area. I work as a Learning and Development Specialist, where my day‑to‑day focuses on designing and supporting training experiences, creating learning resources, and collaborating with stakeholders and all of the fun L&D things!
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort because I see AI as a powerful tool for working smarter in a fast‑paced environment. I’m especially interested in learning how to use AI more intentionally to streamline my workflow, improve content creation, support problem‑solving, and ultimately free up more time for high‑impact work. I’m hoping to walk away with practical skills, best practices, and confidence in using AI in Articulate.
I don't have any pets, so no photos to share but I am excited to learn alongside everyone! 🙂

Hi Jozelle, and welcome to the cohort! From one uniquely-named individual to another, I love your name! Looking forward to exploring these tools alongside you and seeing what your favorite will be!

Hi all, I am Brandy Green. I am an L&D Specialist based out of NYC. My day-to-day is course development and strategic planning for our department's future. And this course is a part of that. My team pays for the AI Assistant, and we use it. I feel like there is a way to use it more effectively. I want this tool to help my organization continue building training faster that changes behavior.

Welcome, Brandy! Like you, I had access to the AI Assistant before the cohort, but this really showed me ways to use it effectively. I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Hi all,
My name is Rich Tomchuk, I'm an instructional designer at Genmab, a Danish biotech firm with US offices in Princeton, NJ. My company does research on antibody treatments for cancer, and in my current role I primarily develop GxP courses for clinical trials. Prior to joining Genmab, I spent 17 years in the IT sector as a systems trainer, instructional designer, and ID & L&D ops team lead. I have a master's in information & communication technology from the University of Wisconsin, with a focus in enterprise learning tech. My primary career focus is on technical training, project management, and technology adoption. In my previous role I was also an early adopter of gen AI tools. My team and I piloted and developed training for those first wave GPT rollouts. Here at Genmab, I've created custom GPTs that my team uses for needs analysis, drafting learning objectives, and converting instructional recordings into task support materials.
I joined this cohort because I'm looking to continue leveling up my skills in AI and its applications for corporate training. I'm excited to help myself and my colleagues find new ways of working.
I live in northwest New Jersey. This is Shelby, the big ball of floof we adopted for my daughter last summer. As you can see, she's adjusted quite well to living with us :)

Hi everyone! I'm located in Tampa, FL and work remotely. I am currently working with INGRAIN AI as EVP, Strategic Learning Solutions & Development. I'm excited to be part of this cohort, but will be working during the day and catching up at night. I'm interested in all things AI and especially how it is utilized inside of the Articulate products, so here I am! 😍 Our beloved dog Tippy is no longer with us so I don't have a pet photo to share. We haven't adopted another because we spend a good amount of time traveling to spend time with our kids.

Let's start with the most important part - this is Maple - my coworker. Technically my son's dog, but she spends her days with me working while he's at school.
I'm based in Texas and do instructional design work for a software company. We are unique in that all the courses/content I create is exclusive to our customers for an additional fee for the learning subscription. I am focused on our eLearning content, but have created everything from short micro mp4s, to lengthy instructor led content.
Also where is the AI Assistant to make this post shorter?! LOL- lane_jacolePeer Guide
Be still my heart....LOOK at that coworker! 😍 How is it possible to get work done with that face!?!?
But I digress...welcome to the cohort! Is there anything in particular you are looking to streamline in your position?

QUESTION: Before I can do anything with the AI Assistant, I'm hoping to get an answer to my question.
If I open a course I'm working on, then turn on the AI Assistant, will it be turned on for every other course I open? Once I turn it on in a course, can I turn it off?
I cannot use the AI Assistant for about 90% of the content I work with. Can someone answer my questions before I click that button? :-)
Thank you!
Tamara
