Week 1 Welcome & Introductions

Hi everyone. I'm Joe a training design and delivery professional. I'm the Online Learning Lead at a Government Department in the UK. I've been involved in Learning and Development in one way or another for over 45 years, starting with the 'Abacus' through to the modern era. I live and work in Scotland just outside the City of Glasgow and a short (but very enjoyable) motorcycle ride from the Highlands. I joined the cohort to gain valuable skills using AI to enhance my Storyline and Rise courses. I don't have any pets but I've enjoyed looking at those below.

Hello!  I am Patti and work for Dauch automotive as EHS and Quality Supervisor.  I have been responsible for creating training for about 10 years now.  I am looking forward to learning about how AI assistant can help speed up my work as I don't always have the time to spend on training creation.  I live in NW Indiana but work in Chicago.  My diva dog Raider enjoys doing yoga with me.

I'm Tracy and live just outside of Atlanta Georgia. I work for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as a Learning Experience Designer. Not to age myself, but I've been using Articulate back when it was an add on for PowerPoint. I love learning new ways to make building courses more efficiently. No pets at this time but love all pets and can't wait to envy those of you that share pictures. 

Can't wait to get started and 'play' with this new feature.

I work in Global Customer Support, where I recently started a new project preparing eLearnings. I am really happy to learn so many new things in this role, and I look forward to creating great content for our customers!

Hey Everyone! Looking forward to coming together, collaborating and learning over the next few weeks. My name is Lauren and I live in Torquay in South Devon and am a total beach and water lover. I've been in L&D for 20+ years and my current job role is Learning and Development Operations Manager for a Global People Development Company, a job I absolutely love. We are a small company so I can wear multiple hats, I do everything from Managing our Global Programme Managers in the roll out of our training programmes to designing, writing and developing both digital and face-to-face learning materials. I am in the office in Devon 2 days a week and work from home for the remaining 3 days, gives me flexibility to do my morning sea swims and take my Sprocker Barkley for walks along the Coast Path. Looking forward to learning more!

Hello everyone, I am a freelance instructional designer and media producer based in Berlin, Germany, with around 30 years' experience designing content for digital learning environments. Having been involved in computer-based training from its earliest days on CD-ROM, I am very enthusiastic about using AI to improve production processes and e-learning methodologies.

Hi everyone. My name is Vipul and I'm based out of Bangalore, India. I currently manage an Instructional Design team, and I've been in the eLearning industry for 15 years.

I've joined this certification cohort to explore how we can implement the best practices and techniques using the AI assistant into our course design to make our projects efficient and engaging. I'm looking forward to take a lot of inspiration from fellow designers out here.

Hi, everyone!

John Moore here, Training Team Lead at Yukon Learning. My day-to-day activities include conducting training sessions on the Articulate tools and developing custom courses for clients.

I wanted to join the cohort to see how amazing people like Alyssa and Tom teach. I'm familiar with how to use the AI Assistant but I'm also always trying to make sure I'm speaking the same language in my training sessions. And, I'm 100% confident that I'll pick up some tips and tricks along the way!

Here is our dog, Buddy. He's a miniature schnauzer/wireless doorbell (we don't need a doorbell because he let's us know if someone is even thinking about walking near our front door).
