Week 2 - Group 2 Discussion
Hello to all! What a great experience this has been. Here is a link to my course, if anyone wants to to a peek.
https://share.articulate.com/YuYWaqNud2eCze8HCs2K-
The three changes I made were:
Adding a custom block with audio. I love custom blocks so much and created one at the start of each of the lessons.
AI Generated images with custom style prompts for all images in the course. What a way to ensure consistency in images across a build. I tend towards MCM so I used that in my prompt.
Changed Feedback type by removing the reference to correct/incorrect. I never liked the duplicative wording and love that I can now easily remove it.
I made other changes, color, block width, dividers, etc. to make chunk on the content like many that have posted before me.
As for which AI feature I intend to use the most, it's definitely the "sync text and objects to audio" in Storyline. Almost all of my builds includes some text appearing on screen in time with audio, so this will be something I leverage often.
For challenges, honestly, it was learning to be better at writing image prompts. I sort of gave up on AI image generation (sorry!) but now that I have practiced a bit and know to use the custom style prompts, I look forward to using it more and more.
Big thanks to Articulate and everyone here. Love the community of learning.🤩

Wow! Love the mint green theme throughout the presentation. From the titles, headings, and images - it was so cohesive. Many underestimate the importance of creating a cohesive pleasant aesthetic, I think it is vital in order to make the information delivery more digestible. It made me want to go back an update my own presentation. Great work!

The sync text and objects to audio function is SO handy, the polish it adds to a course is amazing. I'd love to know if you have an A/B comparison of how long it normally takes you to sync things manually vs with the AI assistant?

Thanks for reaching out MaryEmma. It's not a huge time saver, maybe 15 seconds? I tend to know from the audio track in the timeline where the starts/stops are, so I can usually get close before I have to listen to ensure I have the timing right. But, still it's a feature I'm going to use going forward and share with my team mates.

aghearst - The "sync text and objects to audio" is an absolute gamechanger! This is even new to the AI assistant tools from when I originally took the cohort. I intend to leverage this tool as well!

Hello, I loved the images you used. If you are ok, could you please share the image style description you used? My email address is- mailto:israt.jahan@autostoresystem.com Thank you in advance :)

Thanks so much! This was my first time using the style prompts and I found the Week 2 content on this topic very helping. The prompt I used for these images is "mid century modern feel with pastels, mostly green and pink, with contrasting shadows and should lean more towards realistic than abstract". It's easily my favorite so far.

The course has a fresh, polished, and visually appealing design. The pink and green color combination works really well together, giving the course a creative, vibrant, and modern feel. It reminds me of one of the D9 sororities whenever I see these two colors together.
I also liked the imagery used throughout the course it appears to use a mix of collage-style graphics, illustrated elements, and modern stock-style visuals that help keep the content engaging, visually cohesive, and learner-friendly. - LawtonDelchamps1 day agoCommunity Member
I agree with JBHill! I love the way you made the images cohesive and in a united color scheme throughout - it creates such a polished product!

aghearst I loved the custom blocks at the beginning of each lesson - the AI voice you chose was so zen for my brain this morning.😌 Image prompting is definitely something that takes a LOT of trial and error with some patience sprinkled in for good measure.
