Week 2 - Group 2 Discussion
I made my changes to the third block. I made a lot of changes to the course; I was just having fun with it. First, I changed the tone of the first paragraph, just because it was a requirement. The tone the AI spit out was fine. Second, I changed and added pictures throughout the course with a custom "Norman Rockwell" style. I wanted to experiment with this style and see how a course would turn out using a custom style as I haven't solely relied on the AI Assistant for images in the past. Last, I created a custom AI block adding audio to that block. I wanted to add information about personal assessment to improve the training and decided to do that with a custom block.
This brings me to a challenge. When I created the custom AI block, it suggested a voice "Oracle" that I chose to go with. It was a middle aged British woman that sounded sophisticated. I then decided to add AI Audio in several other places in the lesson and I could not find that voice - even when I pressed more voices and searched for it. I had to choose another voice and go back to my custom block to change that voice to match.
The AI feature in Rise I found most valuable was creating a custom style for AI Images to create consistent images throughout the course. I plan to experiment more with this in the future. The AI feature I found really valuable in Storyline was to sync the audio to the text; this will save so much time not having to cue each spot and try move the text just right.
I really enjoyed this course and am so thankful that my company allows me to do things like this. I am blessed :).
