Adding states to inbuilt icons
Hi! I want to use icons for the user to click on and some relevant text be displayed. However as the inbuilt icons are mainly groups of component parts it will not let me add a state to it. How do you get round this? Thank you!

Thanks Judy that's great to know. Seems a bit of a long winded way to have to go about it, but there we go!
Hi JoC62!
Glad to see Judy has been helping you!
We understand Storyline authors are looking for a way to change the States of grouped objects, so we're tracking a feature request for this enhancement. I've included your voice in the request!
We'll be sure to update you if this feature makes it to our product roadmap.

Hi Steve
I now have a further issue when I follow Judy's instruction. I have created four hexagon shapes with icons to act as buttons on a menu page, I have put each hexagon into a rectangle as Judy suggested. I want the hexagon to appear greyed out when it has been visited. I also have a trigger to show a new button with a quiz once all four hexagons have been visited. However this trigger is not working as the new button does not appear. What am I doing wrong?

The trick is to paste the icon directly into the state(s) of a shape, so there's just one object. The details are here: TIP: Making icons easier to program and easier to click | Articulate - Community
