I know this is an older post, but I wanted to add for any future questions, that Unicode seems to work as well. If you find a Unicode object you want to place in the text block, you can just copy the Unicode image and paste it in. As long as it's compatible with the font - it'll work. You can even fine-tune the colors for most of them. I needed to add some status icons to a project I was working on and I tried this on a whim. Just found a triangle, circle, and square that the developers used in the system, all of them were Unicode symbols, and pasted them right in!
Thanks for the tips, Michael!
Hi Valencia!
While there isn't a way to insert an image file into a text block, you can insert emojis!
You can copy/pasted those emojis from this emoji web bank or pull up an emoji keyboard using a simple keyboard shortcut.
Let me know if that would work for what you had in mind!

it would be nice to be able to suppress the quotation marks to insert an icon for the Statement Blocks. I always need to insert icons :(

Rise is essentially a page system and compared to Sharepoint or Wix or any standard page element library, the tools are sub standard. The inability to use icons to anchor text areas is one of many failings. Nice you can add emojis but this thread is four years old.

Thank you so much!
I was trying to insert certain icons or copies of buttons from one of our systems.
I may have to leave them out as if I copy into sm image then my links will not work.
I appreciate your feedback.
Have a wonderful day!

I could not agree more, Josh.
Articulate's Rise 360 is a never-ending source of frustration because of "bugs" and perplexing limitations, most of which customers have been requesting to be addressed for many years.
I found this thread because I needed to find a way to add a product icon at the head of topics in a lesson. I build all my lessons in Confluence for vastly easier SME and stakeholder review because Rise 360 review is horrible for so many reasons (in-line commenting, allowing SMEs to edit content directly, and being able to review revisions are just some of the reasons why I can't use Rise Review).
Anyhow, I am so disappointed that I cannot add a small icon in the header of each topic. All that is available to me is potentially using the "Quote D" option, which isn't what I really want.
The text editing capabilities of Rise 360 are astonishingly limited!- PhilFossCommunity Member
Shawn, I agree the majority of design issues/requests in Rise are related to typography and lack of an extensible theme system. Rise uses a 3rd party text editor called Froala, appears to be free software. It has simple functionality, and Rise never modifies or improves it, I believe due to the upgrade path which can contain security improvements. Imagine modifying your Tesla's computer system to make a change/improvement, and then realizing you can't get any more updates from the manufacturer, and you've voided your warranty.
